message ..everyhting send or makes a meaning to a team ..this kid ha s put a monthj of hockey out ..a month ? no said boo from the traverse games even...
u cant have an experienced vet team looka at training camp & laugh at the fans
who fall in love at 1st siting of a goal scorer .... message is ... we aint chop liver
fromm the players point ,we didnt think a 19 yr w/ a good timed camp will ipset the apple cart gimme a break ,thats what s wrong w/ plugging in & out ,players know the real deal ,this kid aint proved that
19 = phenom = put him on ice .....
he aint no phenom ,hes just got hot , iif NYR keeps him its as much as saying we aint got much to work with , why not bump him up to #1 line ? Joke of a premise - Dundee13
Players want to play with the best talent available, end of story. STOP. The message that is being sent by management, is tried and true. STOP. You better be better in preseason than our other options or you won't make the team. STOP. Plugging players in and out has always worked. STOP. The fringe players you are talking about all got signed to minimum deals and are here basically on a try out basis. STOP. If they can't beat out a 19 year old kid they shouldn't be on the team. STOP. |

seerous answer ,its insulting to ask ,is your answer funny ? or just simple minded
i appraoch this with the level headed ness expected not the fanatic fan ....
Duclair represents nothing more than a flash in the pan...period
nothing about him or his game is so exceptional that he warrants all thisa consideration except the media buzz we give it ...wow kid scores a few goals in exhibition, did he do it all by himself or something ,
we are a cup finalist with so much depth it hurts ...
he was /is a 3rd rd what .... STAR ,,, how long watching hockey son???? - Dundee13
I don't want to sound like a Richard, but I get about 3 lines into your posts and give up. They're incoherent at best.

Last game he went against the majority of the Flyers lineup, and played against a decent amount against Chicago. I have never seen a Ranger fan hate a on prospect so much that is actually producing and playing well. |

Ok, while I respect your opinion, I totally disagree. There is no downside to having Duclair start here, because he has been one of the best players in camp, and can be sent down if he struggles. So what is the problem with this scenario?
Your scenario is you're not even going to give the kid a chance. You might be right and he stinks, but why not give him a few games to see where he matches up against pro's? There really is no downside. - mdw7413
FLIP THAT QUES ... what if your the vet watching as you prepare for the grind of 82 games & this 19 yr old who has no idea of what 82 games is ,plays a few half ass practice games against what ,and gets your spot great for team chemistry
ques when do realize very few decisions are made from the this distance
way to far to except a non phenom( 3rd rd pick) who did nothing special in Traverse games to come in for the month and get a job on big team ...come on
there selling hime to promote team & all the fantasy fans bought it hook line & sinker ... |

Yeah not sure I get the rational. He plays a couple games, if he isnt ready he gets sent down. If he plays real good he stays. No harm , no foul. |

So next year you just want to bring 23 vets to camp and have no competition? So even if we have a rookie that is considerably better than a few vets he shouldn't make the team? Great plan.

Do you have a man crush on Matthew Lombardi or Ryan Malone? Because these are really the only "vets" he might beat out for the opening night roster spot. |

Stepan did the same thing. Came in unproven, scored a few goals, stayed and now is a great player. He also was a non-phenom getting drafted outside the 1st round. |

you don't think the world is going to explode, stock market crash, Ebola takes over the country any of that kind of stuff if Duclair makes the opening night roster do you?
Everything will be alright, settle yourself down a little bit. Start drinking in the morning a little. Or, perhaps stop drinking so much in the morning.

What chemistry, he would be taking the spot of a vet who was only signed this summer. So technically your talking about someone who has played just as many games with the Rangers as Duclair. 0 |

I'm curious to know what you thought of Toews and Kane during their rookie season with the Hawks. Both 19 looking to crack a squad full of vets. And I'm not comparing Duke to them by any means, just trying to figure out your philosophy. |

There is little to no reason for Duclair to not start the season with the team. If he falters at any point, he goes back to the Q. It's really a no lose situation.
I know we haven't seen much from Malone because of the injury, but I'm rooting for him to make the team. He got hurt at the wrong time, with the kids getting hot and impressing. I'm a sucker for redemption stories, and it would be awesome for him to have a chance to make a decent comeback.
AV and Sather have a hell of a job ahead of them.
I haven't seen any speculation about it, but I've had this gut feeling. What are the chances we bring Richards back next season? He was by no means bad for us, just not worth the contract. I just think it's no coincidence that he signed a 1 year contract and kept his houses in NY. He liked his time here and I'm pretty sure AV and Sather liked him too. The only question is, will there be room for him next year? This is going to be a fun season! |

He's not taking someone special's spot, if you're a vet like Malone or Lombardi and get beat out by a 19 year then so be it, what does it matter that he's a 3rd round pick, he's a steal, I guess Ondraj Palat should have never made the bolts last year |
