I really really hope that Grigo starts this season off solid.. gets his confidence up... playing on our 2nd line with Hodge and Stewart could do wonders for him. Its hard to imagine that we have had him in our system for what 2 or 3 years now and he is just now 20 years old.
- JVince11

I think Grigs is with Hodgson and Stafford tonight. Which is OK.

Other than Stafford, that line isn't very good defensively though. Could have a hard time getting out of their own end.

Way to go Islanders... your new arena looks sweet and off-center.

Not as bad as the new golden state arena that looks like a toilet...

Hodgson would be the only weak link on this line as Grigo has looked a lot better at getting back lately...

Edit: Just reread your post and noticed you were refering to them getting out of their own zone. I will reserve judgement until after tonight I think. Still only been a few games and he has looked so much better overall thus far...

An engineering marvel.

It was built for basketball and being adapted for hockey. Not much they can do. Apparently it has a lot of obstructed view seats as well.

There are no seats along the back of the one goalie either.. it is a horse-shoe shaped arena for hockey.

So I'm not the only one that is seeing that. I was going to make mention that he has looked better lately but sometimes I have my blinders on and only see what I want to see...

This.

It's incredibly common. The Saints are one of the better screen teams in the league. If Manuel could hit the long ball every once and a while the dump offs would be more effective.

I still don't like the switch to Orton right now

This one doesn't look as bad from pics as it does from the ground level when there, but a WVU building looks like a toilet:

They absolutely did. They could have gone back to what was successful in the first two weeks and run more than pass, while continuing to develop him. That Texans game is as much on Hackett as it is EJ.

44 pass plays to 22 run when we were averaging 4+ yards a carry?

No they didn't have a choice, Whaley stacked the team with good WR's and the D is strong, he was over throwing and missing his targets and thinking twice and it cost him. They had to do something now.

We will see. I hope Orton does much better but I doubt he will. And if he does I can't wait to see the Ryan Fitzpatrick era start all over again

Nice blog Pachla!
So I am trying the HBSL for first time this year, when I save my roster does it automatically set for the week or do I have to do something else to activate it?

I bet $20 EJ Manuel has a wicked bushy beard started by this weekend's game.

They are trying to save face IMO with Watkins for what they gave up to get him. EJ and the other hand, I think they are finally figuring out he may not be the answer.

This is all about saving their jobs.

They're essentially guaranteed to lose their jobs by sticking with Manuel.

By going to Orton, it's merely probable.

Here's what happens IMO

Orton has a few good games because defense's will go in basic packages not knowing what to expect, Bills sit back and go "nailed it" and sign him to an extension and do not draft a QB. Then after 3 7-9 or 8-8 years when we are in the same boat we will be wondering what happened

Almost 20 years since the top forward in the draft sent back to Juniors as per the scholars on HF and the last top forward sent back was traded to the Sabres. In 1996 JP Dumont was the 1st forward drafted but did not make the Blackhawks. I believe he was the 4th pick overall. Take care, play nice

I think this is exactly it with the addition of saving their jobs. They need to make sammy look like he was worth the risk. i havent seen orton play with the squad yet (obviously) but im predicting watkins is the go to receiver gets 1000 yards receiving with 8 tds. We still miss the playoffs
