I can't believe no one else here commented on Kumelin. That guy was some serious wheels. Good player.
100% right on Donovan. He basically printed his ticket to Bridgeport once again. Brennan most definitely will be our extra dman. He is very good on pp.
Reinhart is as poised as it gets. He should make the team.
Great game by conacher and this was okposo and Tavares best preseason game
Clutterbuck gets 1st star of night
As for Poulin, no thanks. He flounders way too much. No comparison to how smooth and poised chad Johnson was last week. Poulin had his chance to win isles goaltending job last year.
I have disagree on bailey. He played a good game. He didn't make score sheet but created some chances and was solid throughout the game. He logged 20 mins and was +1. He does need to shoot the puck more.
I feel bad for strome. Unless he has a good game in next two games he might be odd man out. - Spartiarti
You're blinded by Bailey love...he was terrible. Poulin bailed him out when he skated the wrong way with the puck into his own zone and, with no one behind him, gently passed the puck to a Bruin. In the neutral zone and along the boards he just skated by the play if it was too much work to get involved. And on offense it was the same story...passing on no fewer than two occasions when there was a clear shot...once into a completely open net (Strome, who you think had a bad game, threaded the beautiful pass to him on that play, and did show up on the score sheet). |

You and I are the two left standing as far as Bailey but I'm going to have to completely disagree with you here. He looked disinterested and took himself out of quite a few plays. Was soft on the puck. He strikes me as a player that feels he's entitled to a roster spot. He looks like a passenger. |

Sadly, he is entitled to a roster spot. With that contract you pretty much have to slot him into the lineup. Why we wasted our second compliance buyout on Kabanov's minimal contract is still beyond me... |

I didn't mind Conacher but not sure if he's a fit in the top six. I think we have better. - Isles_since_6
I think Conacher may stick at the expense of Strome. I think he just needs to get stronger. If a deal isn't made the easiest choice is to send him down. |

I want Bailey to succeed more than anyone but, he didn't not play good last night. The guy gave the puck up twice in his own zone in the same shift that resulted in two really good scoring changes for Boston. He had the puck at the red line circled back in his zone and gave the puck to Boston....should have been benched him after that. He's doesn't have the confidence. He's hesitant with the puck all the time. Very frustrating to watch.

Reinhart and Brennan both looked good. - Cptmjl
Reinhart physically handled himself real well. Boston is a physical bunch and Reinhart looked just fine, unlike Donovan who looked like a human pinball all night. |

He's been a passenger for six years. It will never change. Get used to it. CraY to think kids like Lee or Strome will be sent to Bridgeport to keep Bailey on the roster... |

With the exception of Reinhart and Brennan that total team d effort was nothing short of horrific. None of the rest should be here, Donovan looked lost Czurchman or however you spell it created 2 2 on 1s by himself. They looked surprised by the fact that Boston had a forward racing to the net behind them. The lack of hustle coming back into the zone was very evident on the overhead replays, if you are caught you don't glide, you can glide in the AHL. |

couldn't have said it better myself... Josh looks like a rookie out there, nervous with no clue about the speed of the game.

I was really rooting for Bailey to turn it around. He still does not seem to get it though and only gets it when the pressure is off. |

its a shame because he really is a nice kid & as much as we would all like him to mature into the player we expect... i dont think its ever going to happen & if it does.. it wont be with this franchise.

If his decisions on the ice aren't do to nerves..... this kid has the WORST on ice vision of any player to ever play the game... If its not nerves letting him shoot the puck when there is an open net.. he has a screw loose & there is no fixing that.

I give Bailey a pass for his rookie year being rushed. After that, Bailey needed to move past it and improve. Same goes for Geno Smith. I know different sports. You cannot keep making the same mistakes. |

I always thought thats what the problem was. Between the ears. When he was drafted it was said he would take shifts off and was never a 110% kind of player. That was his biggest knock from what i remember. |

That draft year of Bailey is when Snow screwed up or confused me. That was the year of defensemen and Snow was trying to move up a grab 1. So since he was not able to, he did something smart by trading down and accumulate more picks, but still there were defensemen left to choose from and decided on Bailey. Well that's long ago and we are stuck w/a $3M stud...... |

He wanted Pteirangelo which didnt happen unfortunately. After that he changed his plan. I wanted filatov so I guess my opinion isnt any more valid. |

Sad thing is I believe Bogosian went right before Isles pick but Eric Karlsson & Tyler Myers were still left... |
