Reinhart and Brennan both looked good.

I think that Snow should make some bold moves on certain players and not care if claimed on waivers. Even if players do well somewhere else but the focal point is to make the isles better and that's what counts...

As we are getting closer to season, I would waive Carkner, Strait, Bailey, Viznosky, Donovan. Hey u guys can blast me on some names I've mentioned but in reality they all don't do any good for this team, at all...........

I agree about Conacher in terms of making the team. Did not see the game so cannot comment on his play.

He looked pretty good. Feisty

I don't think Donovan needs to go through waivers but not 100%.id like them to keep vis and Strait as insurance but Carkner can go. Bailey won't go on waivers with that contract, not with Wang in charge.

I didn't mind Conacher but not sure if he's a fit in the top six. I think we have better.

if conacher plays with that kind of edge consistently, we will forget all about matt moulson. i still miss him though.

Eh, I thought Brennan was shaky, although it was nice to see a d-man score on the pp.

Like I said, Snow should make bold moves but we all know that he will take advantage of players that have 2way contracts.

Duck will love you. He'll have a Moulson ally. There are more non Moulson fans on here I think. Myself one of them. Never a fan

He made some good plays and a couple not so great but I thought overall he looked pretty good this game and the last. Looked better than hickey IMO.

Guess it depends on the final roster. I'd hate to see one of Lee or Strome get sent down to make room for him. I won't be happy about that.

I'd be awfully surprised not to see Conacher on the opening night roster simply based off his contract and what the coaching staff's expectations probably are.

Strome threaded some nice passes tonight, too. Of the "bubble" forwards (Conacher, Lee, Strome), I guess Lee had the least impressive night, although I think he's looked the best of the three in preseason so far.

If the season started tomorrow, I'd go with:

Lee/Strome-Tavares-Okposo
Kulemin-Grabovski-Nelson
Lee/Strome-Nielsen-Grabner
Conacher-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Martin
Boulton

deHaan-Hamonic
Reinhart-Vis
Hickey-Brennan
Czuczman

Halak
Johnson

Brennan can sink or swim as a bottom-pair d-man and PP triggerman to start the season (Mostly because the Isles desperately need a PP triggerman). If he's not up to it, and if Pulock continues to look impressive once he's in Bport, then make the switch.

Everyone else not mentioned can be waived or traded. I'm not sure you can make an honest case that Bailey, McDonald, Strait, Donovan and Carkner have looked any better than the players above.

Just saw the highlights. How was Reinhart? Strome? KO filthy move! Lee? Conacher making a case to make the team?

Good.
Couple nice plays, but not outstanding.
Very nice!
Not too noticeable.
Played the perfect "pest with hands" type game.

edit: overall, Bs carried the play for the majority of the game, but the Isles hung in there and were good considering the lineups.

Didn't get to watch last night, but I got the updates of the score on my phone- it read like a typical game from last year....up 3-1, tied 3-3, up 5-3....why hold a 3-1 lead? Why bother? Of course, if we could be guaranteed to score two more goals than the opponent every night, I'd take it, but since I'll bet right now that this won't be the case, at some point SOMEONE on this team is going to have to humor me and play defense...just saying....again, and again, and again, and again........

Yeah, as I was saying yesterday, I don't think there's a spot for McDonald. I'd like to think that Snow is working the phones trying to at least get a sh*t draft pick for him...

I can't believe no one else here commented on Kumelin. That guy was some serious wheels. Good player.

100% right on Donovan. He basically printed his ticket to Bridgeport once again. Brennan most definitely will be our extra dman. He is very good on pp.
Reinhart is as poised as it gets. He should make the team.

Great game by conacher and this was okposo and Tavares best preseason game
Clutterbuck gets 1st star of night

As for Poulin, no thanks. He flounders way too much. No comparison to how smooth and poised chad Johnson was last week. Poulin had his chance to win isles goaltending job last year.

I have disagree on bailey. He played a good game. He didn't make score sheet but created some chances and was solid throughout the game. He logged 20 mins and was +1. He does need to shoot the puck more.

I feel bad for strome. Unless he has a good game in next two games he might be odd man out.
