That would be as painful as the NYR/LAK Stanley Cup I just finally sobered up from.
My liver sure hopes you're wrong.

speaking of...

The NHL has deemed the contract tendered to Vlad Tkachev ineligible based on the CBA. The Oilers were working under the premise that Tkachev was a CHL player as described in the CBA and could be offered a contract if undrafted. Bad news. He wasn’t.

dynamic little player.

Yeah, I'll let the Virtanen pick stand since there doesn't seem to be much outrage over it(sorry KB3Point0 and Scooby). I'll have to manually enter everyone's rosters from scratch since its an offline draft and the keeper situation with Yahoo is really annoying(I usually do ESPN leagues). Should be done by tonight.

Why are the A's (frank)ing with me? Just put the Royals to bed already.

Everybody loves the underdog, no? (Royals haven't seen play-off action since 1873)

I've seen one live professional baseball game in my life. It was the Angels and the Royals. I saw it when I was a kid during a trip to Disneyland. I swear, I was more excited to watch a real baseball game then I was to go to Disneyland. It ended up being a 1-1 tie that went like a million innings, maybe the worst baseball game ever played. The Royals are dead to me.

Edit:and now I really hate them.

zoiks I sense just a teency weency bit of discontentment

I've only been to a few games, actually, as Baseball is just not my thing. I believe once you've been introduced to a game like hockey, which is non stop action, and has basically everything that makes a sport interesting - speed, creativity, toughness, endurance, finesse, and a combination of grit and skill - it's pretty much a no-brainer that you don't find any other sports as interesting. Yes, I love all sports (ok, mostly), but there is no sport other than hockey which has such tremendous entertainment and fan value. It's the unofficial religion of Canada as has been noted by many including myself

Just my $.02 as usual
