I think Nashville is way better then us. You add Rinne, Neal and Ribeiro to any team and they r gonna be way better
- Bieksa#3

Ribeiro isn't the player he used to be, but the other 2 will be a damn nice boost for them. Plus I think they needed a new coach for the sake of change. Laviolette has a history of being a really good short-term coach before he loses the room in year 2 or 3 so I think the Preds could surprise.

I think Arizona is potentially better too.

Just playing with Henrik automatically gets you 20 by accident.

If Arizona is better at the end of the year it'll be from coaching, because their lineup is not more talented than ours IMO.

They lost Vrbata but potentially more games from Doan/Smith if they stay healthy.

Coaching is the key factor of our season being successful or not,. So far it's the opposite of last year.

Not an overly talented lineup but one of the best coaches in hockey.

Hard to say until we see what the roster looks like next week IMO.

What the hell happened to King f@ck. I thought that kid would do well as a 3rd or 4th line career NHLer.

There are so many ebbs and flows in the season, 82 games is looooooong!!! People will both panic and be thrilled at certain points in the year. That's why they play the games.

My only hope is, if things don't go as planned that they start selling off players come February.

My biggest worry is that they're in that 8-10 range at the TDL and they stand pat or try buying some random depth player.

True but he has a veteran line up that knows how and what it takes to win throw in some youth and I think its a good combo for success. Coaching is what I am critical of right now.

Any pick between 5 & 10 will be good next year, deep draft, and drafting first overall is extremely unrealistic.

I think this last draft we had will be a surprise at how deep it was.

SJ is the only one I see potentially. They seem to have lost faith in Niemi, and who knows if Stalock is actually good enough to be a starter, but you'd likely have to take Niemi back.

Or do you see ANA losing faith in Gibson/Andersen?

And ownership gives them full autonomy. It could be a hard sell for Linden to Aquilini if they're sitting in 8th.

Yeah, I'll let the Virtanen pick stand since there doesn't seem to be much outrage over it(sorry KB3Point0 and Scooby). I'll have to manually enter everyone's rosters from scratch since its an offline draft and the keeper situation with Yahoo is really annoying(I usually do ESPN leagues). Should be done by tonight.

Anyone have Robert Mueller's number?

They play their system almost perfectly. That could easily take them past Canucks.

I feel the same but IMO Leon Draisaitl is the #1 overall that kid is going to be great.

You can't possibly know that because we have a new coaching staff, you're essentially writing off Desjardins already.
