If Henrik goes down I can see lower than 10th.

Love 14 or 15 if can't be a competitive playoff team. My only hope is if they are that bad, they don't fire everyone again. I think they have a good leadership team and they may need a few years.

14th or 15th would be unreal, I just can't see it happening unfortunately. Too many other sh!tty teams.

Teams I think are *worse than the Canucks in the West:

Calgary
Arizona
Winnipeg
Nashville
Edmonton

And then there's teams like Colorado and Minnesota who I think are better than the Canucks but the standings finish as everyone predicts they will. If the Canucks play well and a team or two decline I could see the Canucks finishing anywhere from 6 - 10 (Yes, I expanded my range to include 10th).

*"worse" in this case means not as awful.

We have to face the truth, this team was built for the Eastern conference.

I'm already looking forward to the playoffs. LA, Anaheim, Chicago... Should be some great hockey and some great series.

I want to see Dallas do some damage, actually I would love to see Dallas win the cup so Gaglardi can rub it in Aquilinis face.

In terms of the consensus here I think you're in the minority. Most are expecting 8th at best, and in the 8-10 range most likely.

It's not impossible to imagine but I just see other teams that are better, but of course there's always injuries.

- Nucker101

As is we are talking potential. Potentially we could be a solid team as well the potential to be in the McDavid sweepstakes. I refuse to believe we'll suck hard. This team can be a competitive.

There is always a team that crashes and one or two that exceed expectations. Who will those be?

Colorado comes back to earth this year. Still a good team but some holes exist.

Calgary for sure. Arizona is even weaker than us up front though, but I think we'll finish close to them, but I'd put us ahead. Winnipeg has a pretty decent core, but lack of depth and below average goaltending would have me hesitant to put them ahead of us. Edmonton is the one out of the 3 that I can see finishing ahead of us if they get decent play from their centers and the new defensemen live up to their contracts. They're loaded on the wings.

Calgary are too busy learning to box so they will finish last

I expect them to regress too, but still a better team than the Canucks if healthy.

Hard to say. It's usually injuries and bad coaching that lead to teams collapsing. And for surprise teams that play well they tend to get very good goaltending and stay relatively healthy.

We really lack scoring . I think people are going to be shocked. I think Daniel is going to end up with 16 this year and Burrows 10 .that is one of the reasons I don't mind seeing Shink stay

If we continue as an older team the injury part will hurt us. The coaching however will be a complete flip. This team is very different by coaching alone.

Just playing with Henrik automatically gets you 20 by accident.

Their forwards are much better, our defence is slightly better and the goaltending is a wash - so yes I'd agree.

I don't think he is going to the net enough. He is at least now shooting but from the perimeter .

I think Nashville is way better then us. You add Rinne, Neal and Ribeiro to any team and they r gonna be way better

I think the scoring may be better than we think. The defense should get more than last year. Vrbata could get 20-35; Bonino 20-25; Vey 15-25; Dorsett 8-15; Horvat,Shink and Jensen 10-25 combined.

At one point in time I would have taken Miller over Rinne.
