Henrik Sedin is terrific
- VANTEL

Yes he is. That guy can make anyone look like a goal scorer when he's healthy.

Yeah, it's nice having a physical presence on the blue line that's also willing to drop the gloves, but he needs to settle his play down with the puck or he's gonna become the fan's whipping boy quickly.
- Nucker101

He reminds me a lot of Edler where he has that blank, confused look on his face when he does something stupid. Irritating as (frank)

But it's funny for us when he has that same look after a big hit and the other team responds to him.

Horvat is definitely convincing me that he belongs in the NHL, looked solid last night and has been getting better and more comfortable as the pre-season has gone on. It's why I was telling the bipolars to relax during the rookie tournament, the play in those games is too scrambly and there's way too many future ECHL'ers out there plus guys like Horvat and Shinkaruk knew they were going to the main camp anyway.
- Nucker101

Yea they have nothing to prove against their peers, they have done their talking in their respective leagues. The real test will be over the next couple of games when teams have all but finished their roster cuts

Yeah, I'll let the Virtanen pick stand since there doesn't seem to be much outrage over it(sorry KB3Point0 and Scooby). I'll have to manually enter everyone's rosters from scratch since its an offline draft and the keeper situation with Yahoo is really annoying(I usually do ESPN leagues). Should be done by tonight.

There is not enough offence out of all of them, allowing other teams to shutdown the Sedins and Vrbata. Nothing has changed with this team just the names.

Edit: enjoy the new Hot Dogs

Maybe Buffalo will give us their 1st this year for Miller, they need a goalie right and Miller fetched much more last year on an expiring contract.

We might have to put Burrows back with the twins to get him going. I think it was Booner who said that would happen and Vrbata would be with the twins on the PP which has looked good. I would love to see what Shink can do with Bonino and Vrbata.

Sedins Burrows
Shink Bonino Vrbata
Higgins Vey Kassian
Dorsett Richardson Hansen

Matthius has looked useless to me, he wont even use his size.

I actually like your lineup with one exception:

Sedins Burrows
Shink Bonino Vrbata
Higgins Horvat Kassian
Dorsett Richardson Hansen

Vey can get into the line up once Horvat gets his 9 games. Matthius can sub into the 4th line when needed.

This lineup is going to get us 10th in the west but it's the best this club can do.

Vey's been getting 1st unit PP time, I'd be surprised if he's a healthy scratch on opening night.

But I think it would be good to at least give Horvat his 9 games. Who comes out to make room for him?

I agree he won't be scratched but he looks confused on that PP unit, either gets in Daniels way or floats in the high slot. I would prefer someone like Burrows to sit in front of the net and clean up the garbage. Vey is at his best IMO when handling the puck, let him control on unit 2.

Matthias/Dorsett/Hansen/Richardson would most likely rotate.

Well we don't know the extent of the Kassian/Richardson injuries, Kassian sounds DTD, but what about Richardson?

I think one of Jensen/Shinkaruk are going down to the AHL as well.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a legit second unit for once. Bonino and Vey are both supposed to be good PP players.
