Some observations from last night:

1. Cowen and Wiercioch were (frank)ing terrible all night. poor positioning, over-pursuing, bad pinches......i honestly can't think of a real positive thing either guy did all night. hopefully that's just a bad game and not an indication of how they'll play, or else, ottawa is in HUGE trouble.

2. Ceci was great, easily the best d-man for the sens, and maybe the best d-man on the ice period. looked confident, played well in all 3 zones. fingers crossed that he avoids the "sophmore slump"

3. I wish SOOOO bad that we could find room for robinson, lazar, and puempel on this team. how much better would life be if we didn't have greening and neil, and maybe even smith (he has value, could trade him for a decent return), our lines could be:

mac - turris - stone
ryan - zibby - chiasson
michalek - legwand - hoffman
puempel - lazar - robinson
condra

(swap ryan and stone if you'd rather have a clear cut "top line", but either way.....)

I have not conjured up a preferred starting lineup but that is pretty close.
