I like the fact that he worked his A$$ off this summer. Kind of sheds a little light on the lazyness people claim he has. At the end of the day, he's spent most of his life preparing to play in the NHL. Nice to see that's still important to him.

That impressed me too. Seems it has impressed the brass too. Thats why I think he stays. Last season he looked lost and hadn't a clue what to do on the ice. This year so far, he is a different player. What he is doing ,works.

Grigo could really be the X-factor in this rebuild. I think most of us shelved our hope for him.

I caught the third period and the rest of the game . The way Grigo was playing , he isn't the same kid as last season. I really think he stays here.

Me too, gotta find out sometime if he can play at this level. He fits in the top 3 lines, IMO.

Then, it will be interesting to see what EJ haters will want then. Keep Orton in the lineup or will absence make the heart grow fonder and call for EJ again?

He was everywhere last night. Didn't give up and wasn't afraid. Could be the way he played to get him to the top of the draft. Hope that he stays the same attitude.

Malcolm Jenkins left before last season.

Not sure how he's relevant in this article. I wish Byrd went to a winner. Who can blame someone for leaving this pathetic sports city

I think the reason that players love to play for Nolan is because he is fair and honest and treats his players with dignity and respect. I think he is the kind of man where if you earn something, you get it from him. Otherwise he would lose his honor and integrity and he is a man of honor and integrity.

Grigorenko has earned that second line center spot. No one else has stood out more than he has for it. Not even close. So what message would it send to the team to send him to Rochester when he has earned a spot on the roster by looking like one of our best forwards in the preseason. This isn't a case of him not being mature enough physically. It's not hazardous for Grigorenko in the way it would be for Reinhart right now.

Grigo has always had the offense to succeed in the NHL. He needed to get in professional shape and improve his skating. Even if his defense were bad, he would still be good enough to play in the NHL, look at Hodgson. But he has shown good defense so far. He has been more effective on the forecheck and backcheck than most of the vets. He has had mixed results on faceoffs.

I don't see Nolan sending the kid down. It's simply not his style.
