If all that's true, don't we have to conclude that just before or during the 2014 draft, the Bills decided they were going to go "all in" with Manuel, and give him through the end of the 2015 season to develop? Is there any other explanation for their decision to trade away the first round pick?

Forget about how the guy has played this year: now, only four weeks into the 2014 season, they are completely reversing fields. It this kind of "scrapping the plan" and failure to live with a commitment that drives me crazy in any organization - but especially when the plan is hardly even implemented before its abandoned.

Orton ain't great, he's average. EJ was below average. Easy decision.

The throws EJ misses on aren't because he needs "time to develop" they are because he isn't accurate and that will never change.

Time to start taking chances on QB in 2nd and 3rd rounds. It can't hurt.

He has a big problem with accuracy and seeing the field. He seems to lock into one receiver and misses a lot of others. I was really hoping for him to succeed and still have some hope for the guy but I agree with you, the Bills are going to have to take chances on 2nd or 3rd round picks next year.

I like the fact that he worked his A$$ off this summer. Kind of sheds a little light on the lazyness people claim he has. At the end of the day, he's spent most of his life preparing to play in the NHL. Nice to see that's still important to him.

Whether Bennett sticks or not, that proves nothing in regards to who's the better hockey player. All it proves is that he's more physically ready to compete in the NHL right now. I have confidence that they will both be great players. They're 5-6 years from their primes. That's when you start judging. Not now... emoticon -> eye roll
