Was just reading Mckenzie's piece on the Canadian WJC team possibilities and Duclair. Admittedly I hadn't seen him before tonight. Bob says there were
Concerns about attitude. Why does HC have so many issues with attitude when it
comes to black players? Genug already

He looked solid in first game, in London. Has looked progressively worse in each game since. Not comfortable with him, Schenn or Schultz as the 7th guy right now

Now don't get me wrong, because yeah, these guys have to play well at some point.

But Schenn and Del Zotto, I know, are some of the guys who caught the short end of the stick -- they played in that split-squad game in London, then played the next night in Toronto, when the Leafs brought their Top 6 out to play.

Again: At some point, it becomes excuses. But I'm still leery of throwing out too many grades for these guys with the patchwork lineups they've been rolling out due to the heavy schedule. Granted, they're not playing every game, but they've definitely drawn in the majority of them.

Gostisbehere has been good in every game he's played. If we were trying to be careful with development, Gostisbehere realistically should be with the Flyers over Shultz.
- SuperSchennBros

Unless Gostisbehere would be a regular top 6 defenseman, you wouldn't put him in the 7th defense role.

I get the whole fractured line up and veterans not being at full speed in preseason, vs AHLers who are fired up trying to win a job. Still need to compete better

If you don't comport yourself like Shane Doan, then you're considered to have an attitude, lol.
