Akeson is ready for the big show IMO. Working a regular shift I think we'll only watch the kid blossom and grow.

I don't see him as a top-6 LW anymore, and with the addition of Umberger and Akeson, not sure he's a fit.

Sounds doubtful. Berube's pairs seem to be Claude & Jake, Couts & Read and Vinny & RJ. I'd love a Raffl -Laughton-Akeson line

I think Alt or Manning get first shot, would not be amazed if Ghost was a late season recall. I think Morin might get his 9 games. Not sold either is ready

Me either but we have several defensemen that are wince worthy on to regular a basis and I much prefer wincing at developing kids than guys staggering into oblivion. I got enough of that last season.

Me too... I'm completely with you on that. They've been using them together for a reason in preseason and they have a good feel.

Think it will Jones and Akeson, with Bellemare getting a little work in the AHL like Raffl did at the start of last season. Bellemare, if he plays well enough, will be back soon, and I bet Laughton gets called up midseason
