Yeah, but NHL Centre Ice "Lets" out of town fans watch their team!

Like I've said before, they smile and tell you they're doing you a favour while they (frank) you.

I wish Gallagher was stuck in the AHL all his life because of his size.

I would. Whether he gets a chance or not remains to be seen. He might get stuck in the AHL all his life because of his size, which would be unfortunate.

I was at the game last night, and his speed really stood out on the ice... crazy fast.
I'd love to see more of him and Leivo to start the season.
I feel as though Holland has more to offer also, but rarely plays with players of his calibre so he doesn't look as effective...

Nylander has not impressed me in any of the games he has played, I don't see anything "NHL" level about him, sorry, I call it as I see it.

Leivo as I predicted would be the standout of all the prospects.

- LeafMan

Really ?? Nothing NHL about him. Must say completely disagree with you.

He has undeniable skill out there. Just needs to add 15 lbs of muscle.

He is going to be very good in the league for a long time.

People remember him scoring 7g in 1st 10 games of the lockout year. Problem is after that he had knee surgery and hasn't been the same( 2 goals in last 65 games).

He's not close to good enough to make it right now.

yeah seems like the LEafs certainly have better options

Why? What's not clear about his inability to play in the NHL effectively right now? It's only going to get worse when it's no longer pre-season. Why wouldn't you have him sort his poop out on the Marlies?
- 1979AD

Just think they give the vet older guy a shot in the regular season.I'm not saying he is on a long leash but he gets a chance. Not saying I would either but I think they will.

I agree. Holland showed a nice touch in the shootout. I think he has some offensive upside that will show if given the right opportunity. All 3 of those guys did well last night.

Leivo is the better option no doubt about it; and even he wasnt stellar last night, decent but not incredible - good work along the boards w the puck, i like that

Kind of been the topic of this thread though, it would expose the management team as liars if they give Booth or Frattin a spot over Leivo and Kozun who have earned one so far.

That's why I said Nonis/Carlyle have some tough decisions to make. Do they take the easy way out and keep Booth and Frattin over Leivo and Kozun or Carrick or do they trade or waive Booth and Frattin?

So true. All that 'earn your spot' talk is BS; always has been. Look how long it took before Connolly lost his job. It seemed like he was challenging them to do it.

Exactly why I think Leivo does make opening night. Even when he isn't putting up points he is doing everything else right out there.

Leivo is their poster child this year. "See you can make it if you work hard enough" but only one. Kozun goes down I think.

They can always come up with a bs reason why Player X was sent down. It happens far too often in many sports.
