Still haven't seen those or Nightmare on Elm Street. I've seen part of the Nightmare where a girl is in class and burns herself on the pipe in the boiler room to wake up.

-------

I have seen Halloween 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 though.

1st Nightmare is great, a very young Johnny Depp in it, some real scary poop...I saw it when it first came on HBO in 1984/85 as a 10 yr old (Yea I'm dating myself) so it pretty much kept me up for days. Spoiler alert...Freddie gets you in you're dreams! Don't ever fall asleep!

Stupid ass deadline rule, but I do feel like I recall Jimbo saying something about losing Duclair for the entire year if he were sent to Juniors. Felt like he also said his opinion was based on the teams season continuing through the end of the memorial cup. So personally I wasn't sure if his opinion was based on the teams success or if the date of the juniors season ending has any effect on a players ELC if the player is called up for the NHL playoffs.

it's because Duclair's team is the host team for the Memorial Cup, that guarantees them a spot in the tournament, which all but assures he is with them until June if he gets sent back to junior.

I was banned all day yesterday so I didn't get a chance to comment on it, but before the game on friday I already wanted Duclair to stay with the Rangers, after actually seeing him play, I think they are kind of nuts if they don't at least give him a 9 game looksie, especially considering that's pretty much the time Stepan will miss.

Man, if Duclair and Buchnevich turn out to be bona fide real deals the Rangers will have a new dynamic. Already one of the fastest teams in the league, adding another two scoring threat speed merchants will make them that much harder to defend against. Guys like Jesper Fast and JT Miller can also fly. The young free agent college kids added the last few years have helped to make up for the lack of top draft choices traded away to bring in Nash and St. Louis. I am happy with Rangers stable of youngsters and looking forward to seeing them make the jump to the big club.

Hayes on the wing today, per the majority of the beat writers. On line with Mueller and The Duke/Tony D on the other side.

The other lines are

Kreider-Brass-Zuc
Nash-Miller-MSL
Hrivik-Lombardi-Fast

I think those C's plus Moore again to start the season at center. Leaves at least one wing spot open for Malone, Duke, and Hayes.

Lombardi won't play tomorrow due to a groin injury and Malone will miss the next 2 games with an injury. I wonder if this hurts their chances of making the team at all. A lot of kids are pushing for spots.

I would say so. Considering Hayes said today he's more comfortable on the wing. So I would say that really hurts Malone's chances. Especially with Duclair, Hayes and Hrivik looking good.

Malone, Lombardi and the other vets like Stemniak would have to clear waivers before going to Hartford. I have always liked Malone and think he should stick with the big club. Stempniak and Lombardi? Meh......I would rather it be Miller and Fast with Lindbergh also getting a look. I think Duclair should hang around for a few regular season games as he has already burnt the first year of his contract but he probably goes back to Quebec and plays in the world juniors and the Memorial Cup as Quebec gets an automatic berth as the host team. Haggerty and Hayes get a mention as they need some seasoning in the A. Conor Allen is probably the 7th defenseman although I I still not yet given up on the Undertaker.

With Allen, if he is going to be the 7th d man, kind of wouldn't mind him playing big minutes in the AHL then sit in the press box. Rangers can always just call him up when needed.

Malone deal is a 2-way deal he does have clear. You're correct though when you say Lombardi and Stempniak have to clear.

honestly if guys like Malone and Lombardi were to be plucked off of waivers, why didn't those teams just sign them in the first place?

I think it's doubtful anybody will take them to be honest
