Ah, okay. I was just wondering if those were players who were, in addition to who "could."
- jmatchett383

I think there's a really good chance that Rundblad could get waived, if Clendening cracks their top-6. Vatanen's a pipedream.

Vey and Condra are two that could hit waivers that I'd really want. Vey is like Akeson+, and Condra is a fantastic PK'er and really really good at driving play at ES.

some interesting backup goalie options when one(or both) of our goalies get injured (as usual)..

Jake Markstrom was waived. Prob a Habs goalie (Budaj or Tokarski) will get waived next.. LaBarbera's time is coming to an end with the Ducks. Maybe Dan Ellis (Panther's 3rd), or..how old is Vokoun now? is he in his 40's yet ?

I like Vey, Condra, Kassian even though I think he will stick with the big club. Watching last night i just really liked a line of Leirer, laughton and whoever else as our fourth line. They could be a pain to play against, kills penalties and also chip in some offense.

there you have it! Vokoun is still a spring chicken (with 1 billion minutes played)

What's Goldberg up to these days ? he could really fill the net!

I think Goldberg works at the Philadelphia Department of Licensing & Inspections. He's in charge of checking for pasties at the "gentleman's clubs".

All I remember about Condra was the series against Pittsburgh in (I think) 10-11 where he was on some hot streak.

Edit: Nevermind, thinking of Regin.

HOw are we all feeling on the defensive front? Specifically, A. Mac?

He's looked ok in preseason, but I'm still not sold on him and Coburn as a top pair. Made that sweet pass to Schenn for his PP goal last night

As usual, from what I have seen of AMac, he seems fine. I'm sure the fancy stats will tell us a different story.

What I do hope is that we have a defense by committee. Instead of Amac playing 25 minutes a night on the top pair, I want to see the other pairs pick up some of those minutes. Hopefully they are up to it.

I especially want to see how Luke Schenn handles more minutes, since he seems to play better the more minutes he plays.

Agree re: Luke. I don't think sheltering him is going to really help him that much. Would rather he work out the wrinkles in his game early on and hopefully be more reliable later in the season

They cant afford to shelter any of the pairs IMO. The forwards need to buy in to the defensive side of the ice....that IS the #1 thing that has to happen for them to win.

I like the "defense by committee" idea and have for awhile now. There isn't that much of a difference in the skill level up and down the Flyers d corps so might as well even out the minutes more. There is really no one on the team suited to play 25+ minutes, idealistically speaking. Coburn is the closest thing to that.

Seems like there's widespread agreement that playing him on the first pairing is not a great idea.

Ryan White will miss 5 months from the time of his injury, per Bill

That puts him returning in mid to late January

It was really good, however I went to five different Citi ATM's (Still counting) in five different locations to take out money. Every single one out of order. The problem with this is, I can still use debt to buy things but they charge you with every swipe and right now getting cash is unlikely unless I use another ATM but I'm not that desperate at the moment.
