It's pretty weird some fans rationale. Cousins has "potential" regardless of his record or how he's looked his first 6 or 7 games. People are convinced he's a starter. Yet EJ has peaked at 13 NFL games and will never improve.

There is a third option: "We need better than both guys in order to be a championship contender".

EJ IMO will be better than Cutler or Cousins. He's being developed properly. He's coachable, has a strong enough arm and is a leader. You win with guys like him.

I expect to see a jump from him by seasons end. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly want a new QB.

My dream scenario: Toronto loses to Buffalo 5 times...and finishes 10th in the conference.

EJ IMO will be better than Cutler or Cousins. He's being developed properly. He's coachable, has a strong enough arm and is a leader. You win with guys like him.

I understand that Manuel in his current state is not a Super Bowl QB, but what I want is to make this team competitive so that we can attract a coach in a few years or better UFA's. So far Manuel for the most part has been good enough to keep the games close and allow us the chance to win.

Pretty soon he will absolutely have to do more on his own, but people act like the good QB's did that from the day they were drafted, that's not always the case
