I will actually say it may be valid to point out that the Avs were +30 as a team last year and only four players on the roster finished with with a worse +/- last year.

Of course factors like quality of opponent comes into play, but that is still rather glaring

The +30 counts all situations PK, and PP. Just pure goal differential not +/- (which does not count PP time). So a bad PK team which the avs were (24th) would destory someones +/- if they saw a lot of PK time, which ROR did.

As the Avs were a good PP team (5th in the league) ROR saw a lot of PP time as well, lead the team with 9 PP goals, which does not count towarads his +/-

So it skews things quiet dramatically

but it is a stat....
