I love Simmonds, always have. However there are times you need to be reminded on the ice that you are NOT the toughest hombre around.

It's pre-season, half the toughest hombres around will be in the ECHL where they belong in a few weeks

I think Simmonds will be able to shake off the shame when he scores 30 and is a top power forward in the game.

Classless because he pounded a guy who pushed/punched him in the face first after a semi-late hit?

You act tough you will get popped, Holzer learned the tough way.

I think the Leafs may have gotten one right in Nylander. Should be a really good one in a few seasons---he's definitely got skillz.

I actually liked seeing Lupul and JVR out there together. Starting to think the Leafs should try Kadri with them, and let Kessel, Bozak, Clarkson run as a line...(Clarkson may not be the right candidate of course, but whatev).

Well, lets be real, Kessel is going to score goals/points no matter what. And not saying the lines are set in stone, but they are options for games the Kessel/Bozak/JVR line goes quiet.

From what I can tell. Broll and Stortini, not much happened.

Then Simmonds poop his pants when challenged by washed up Orr

nylander looked pretty good overall last night, few nice passes, put one home, i liked that he stole the puck a few times in the O zone, those are big in real games.

still has some strength and size to add, another season in europe with the big boys and he will be ready sooner than later

Yeah. I just think the break out passes that JVR swings across the ice (almost nonchalantly) to Kessel may be a struggle for Clarkson.

I'm all for splitting up Lupes/Kessel/JVR at some point I the game to actually give the opposing coach a headache about matching up.

The groups that are staying in Toronto and those that are going to Ottawa for the games today.

The #leafs STAYING in Toronto to play Sens at ACC tomorrow.

The #leafs GOING to Ottawa tomorrow #splitsquad

I took the liberty of tagging those images so no one has to go through the humiliation I had to endure of copying and pasting.

Of course I get the lame Ottawa lineup to watch on tv rather be watch'n the Toronto game.
