agreed. It will have its place but it is FAR from perfect at this point. Too many variables in hockey as opposed to baseball.....still need to watch the game and actually have insight on players (Ie Dubas) but people want to talk about him as if he is ONLY analytics. Glad I am home again.

I like the promise that it holds, and really appreciate the work of guys like Corey Sznajder who is LITERALLY watching every game (from last season) to track zone entries (number and type while tracking possession and possession changes). To quote one number while ignoring the others however is somewhat shortsighted. TBH I generally look mainly at the "Rel" stats so that you can see where a player is with regards to his team and whether he is having a positive or negative effect on the whole

Its obvious that is whats going on over at MLHS. Once they saw other sites creators get picked up they went hardcore for that brass ring.
