Lord Byron's going to stick. Diaz is going to stick.
Still want to see Ferland in a game. |

I think Granlund is going to stay up due to Backlunds injury and it will be hard to send him down. He looks like a complete two way player, especially in the young stars tournament.
Diaz has impressed the hell out of me as well. |

Granlund was impressive at the NHL level, let alone the Penticton tourney. I think Reinhart is a more complete player right now, though, and looks great in camp. However, all that said, I don't think the organization is leaving room for rookies. They have enough vets to fill the lineup, and already have Colborne filling in for Backs at centre. Any rookies who want to make it in will have to earn it for sure. |

Yeah the competition is definitely a good thing, nothing will be given to the young players. Although we will see many rookies throughout the year as injuries pile up but next year will be when the teams average age drops quite a bit. |

Yup. Wideman hasn't hit anyone with a slapshot in practice yet, but we all know it's only a matter of time. |

can the average age drop more then last year? didn't we have a record number of first games for players with the injuries and what not |

Well, there's still certainly a lot of training camp left to go, but Hartley is certainly pushing Colborne at centre for the moment. |

I really hope so...at least from what I saw the first game, Jones shouldn't be on the team, Colborne back on RW and bring one of the young centers to fill in the middle
I'm just not sure if they will make that bold move to sit our highest paid forward (it's insane that he's our highest paid forward lol) |

Want to see how this David Wolf fella fairs against the big boys! - K-man25
I'm pretty sure Wolf gets sent down...I think with the way Mcgrats is playing and the fact he doesn't bring what Bouma can (his only chance might be to outplay Bollig...which I doubt it, although I haven't seen Bollig play yet in person) |

What's your guess situation at center? Why do I have a feeling Horcoff is going to get plunked off of waivers by you? - Lahey
I just don't see the point in that. We have a glut of young centers to fill up spots, i.e. Max Reinhart, Joe Colborne, Sean Monohan, Markus Granlund, Sam Bennett, so why steal minutes from young guys fighting for spots, just to give them to a washed up ex-Oiler? Please explain. |

It wasn't, it was to put a vet into a spot to force the younger players to earn a spot.
Something we never did very well at all. |

Only way I see it is if we run into major injuries to both our veteran and ahl centres, otherwise we will be fine rolling with Stajan & Backland as our vets. |
