Sounds to me more like a muscle pull/tear. Groin/hamstring mb. Only guessing, but that will drop you without contact, that's for sure.

Safe to say Stepan will be out for the rest of the preseason.

Just as long he didn't injure it too badly there should be no reason to be too concerned.

how about this thought, if Stepan is hurt for a signifiant amount of time, although he isn't a center, does that make giving Anthony Duclair at least a 9 game look at the beginning of the year more possible?

all we can do is hope, when McDonagh went down a couple of years ago without a collision it certainly looked like he tore his knee to threads and he was fine, hopefully same thing.

Maybe caught a rut in the ice; non contact tweaks occur every now and again. The season doesn't start for a few weeks and thankfully not tomorrow night. Hopefully the x-rays come back negative and all he did was tweak some area in his leg; not completely rip apart a ligament.
