I kinda like Fedetenko-Josefson-Matteau

I don't think Fedetenko will make the team, but I think that line will be good tonight.

You watch, provided JJ doesn't break every bone in his body, I think he'll be good with Matteau.

I have a feeling that if Kinkaid and Clemmenson drop the ball in the pre-season, we could see the Devs try and snag Markstrom from the Canucks. He's the 3rd goalie and would have to go through waivers to be sent down. Lou loves the swedes

I think Brodeur would be on his list of players before Markstrom if neither guy runs with it, but I mean they would both have to be atrocious to not be able to be at least respectable in 15-20 games. Unless there is an injury I dont see cory playing less then 60 games.

Not sure I agree as both Lou and Marty have said it was time to turn the page. It would suck for Cory to have Marty back. What's atrocious? A GAA over 3.00? It could be possible as that's what Clemmenson had last year and Kinkaid is an unknown. Just throwing a name out there that the fan base might be more comfortable with if there was an injury.

I would be extremely pleased to land a Markstrom trust me but if Marty still has no job and doesnt want to retire I just have a feeling Lou will do it. I also think for Clemmer and I actually hope Kink wins the battle but anyways Clemmenson should put up better numbers behind the devils then the panthers but he could just be losing it but goalies step up for every other franchise in the league so I have 0 doubt that Kinkaid would come in and be back up worthy. People act like young goalies get burned all the time and to me I look around the league and see nothing but young goalies getting oppertunities and running with it when given the chance to fill in. Everyone here seems to think its impossible though and that you need a veteran back up I just dont think thats true.

To be fair Clemmenson appeared in 17 games last year, Florida gave up 268 goals. I think he would fair much better on the Devils.

Nice, Severson with 2nd pair minutes, too bad he's paired with Kaberpoo.

Just realized no Petey Jr. Guess he has to save his energy for his top pair minutes in the regular season when Merrill is still "a bit winded". Fedotenko should have to take a slapped to the sac for every game Merrill misses.

I agree that I would rather see a young goalie get the chance to be the backup here. I'd rather see Clemmenson in Albany being a mentor to Wedgewood than up here. For the people that say playing for Florida was the reason for his numbers, then why didn't Luongo or Thomas have numbers that were just as bad? Anyway, not saying we should go after Markstrom, just that it could be a tempting name if he ends up on waivers.

I dont think it would be a bad thing at all to get him its just at what price ? I have 0 problems having a 6 foot 6 back up goalie lol I really dont know what Lou is going to do about moving a player or two. every team I look at is trying to do the same thing almost every teams has to many players and Lou never gives players away.
