Ok. I tested it before I posted it like any self respecting poster would do, maybe it saved on my computer. |

Seems to be working. Will find out more at game time. In the meantime I have yoga class. |

Wow. Bennett's latest comments may be the single biggest news story of the dog days of summer. Really damning to Bylsma and certainly makes you think twice about that country club atmosphere... |

Maybe there's a future for Dump It Dan in the league front office. Everyone is a 4th line plug in the eyes of the league.
It will be interesting to see if he gets another coaching job. He is certainly in no rush to take one, given that he is paid handsomely by the pens for 2 more years. |

Pretty easy for him to knock him too. Before the last few pre-season games last year there were discussions about him being a lock for the Top 6. Most of them coming from Fitzy and Bylsma themselves. Jokinen gets a hat trick and that all gets washed away. To be fair, he played well with Sutter and Stempniak but I really thought he'd get a shot for an extended period of time. That never really came together. That was just Bylsma's way.
The environment wasn't right. Doesn't mean it wasn't play in some aspects but it wasn't right. Especially for young players that needed time to showcase their abilities. They wasted minutes in the wrong players. That has to stop now. |

Megna couldn't hockey his way out of a paper bag. If that's all the better we have just let Adams play another 82 before retirement. |

Jokinen is also clearly a better hockey player than Bennett, and can play more than 10 games without getting a limp wrist. |

I'm not so sure I'm going to judge his abilities against Jokinen's who has much longer stretch of time in the he league. That'd be unfair. Easy to say that when the kid flashes ability and then gets flushed down. To credit Jokinen, he did a great job. That's why he isn't here anymore. Good for him and his new deal.
As far as Bennett's health is concerned, it's an issue. But I'm tired of it being the focal point. Cut the kid some slack. 21 points in 47 games of line jumping is something to see a little potential in. He is a fairly good two way player already. Has good patience and vision. With time to get chemistry he could pan out. |

its as much a story as fitzgerald saying that fluery is an elite goalie. front office people have to say things about current players, players have to say certain things about coaching changes / leadership changes. people will read into them whatever their personal bias is looking for. |

Tired or not, BB's health IS the story of his career up to this point. Can't develop Chemistry if your BFF's with the trainers. |

Certainly. He has things to prove. Won't be alone in that. I'm just pointing out that that is in the past. Hopefully it stays there, but we have to look at the reality that is the league. Injuries happen. |

yeah... Him panning out would be so great for the pens. watch him put up 30+ goals, 30 plus assists and hold out for over 6 mil a year. whos his agent? problem with BB is that this isn't the nhl hurting him... Hockey hurts him no matte what league he plays in. |

If Bennett has a phenomenal year and eclipses 30 goals, I still don't see him getting 6 mil. With his injury history, if he has a seriously eye opening year, he should get a bridge 3.5-4 or a long term at 4.5-5. And that is if he has a truly knock-the-people-on-their-backs type of season. He's not gonna have that on the third line.
Still, even if he did and he got offersheeted and walked, I wouldn't be that upset. I like Bennett a ton, and wish him all the success in the world. People knock him at every turn, and I'd like for him to prove the world wrong. I'm not going to wish injury upon him or hope his development is too retarded due to past injuries or mishandlement just so we can hold onto him for cheap. I'll see him have a great career on the Islanders before that. |

He's got great hands, feet, and heart. Perfect second line winger for any team. Imagine him with Malkin. |
