If Nelson plays with JT, he scores 25 goals.... - kear20
Easily.... I'd prefer him playing w/JT but if Bailey somehow produces w/his opportunity on 1st line and increases his trade value and later dealt, by any means necessary would benefit the team... |

I agree with this comletely. ask Matt Moulson. He should be thanking JT everyday even with his new team. Difference between Nelson and Moulson is Nelson is a complete hockey player. He going to be better NHLer than Nino for sure.
Also no one loves seen Josh Bailey getting shot on top line. I want an apology from everyone on this board if the Bailey we have all waited for comes out this year. (maybe he need the threat of losing his ice time to come along)
Also how excited about the future seeing these lines does this make you

When is last time isles had this much depth and future potential stars in the system.

You are probably right about Bailey. It becomes tough, if Bailey hits stride, one one will want to trade him. (like what happened with KO)
But as much as I love Bailey, if we could get a top 4 young dman, I would trade him.
We are way crowded at forward. |

the difference w/KO is that there was no other depth at W, if he didn't have a good season last year, he would have been on the block also. His past season only gives him a mulligan for this year bc he's near the end of his current contract and would have to decide if he's worth $6-7M on his next contract.

You wont get an apology from me. I wanted to see him stick on the first line a while ago. *braces for impact of rotten tomatoes and eggs * |

that would be great if this kid is legit. B/c its true, we would all owe Snow an apology. Especially if we make the playoff and Buffalo doesn't get a top 5 pick.
the reality is we all set with talent. We need some guys to really solidify our team.
Hopefully next year a guy like Dan Boyle will be kicking himself that he didn't sign with us. |

I'm hoping he's thinking that by christmas but it's extremely doubtful.

#Isles win G1 of doubleheader 3-2. Nelson, Collberg and Skille with goals, Leggio strong in second half in goal.

I’m one person who has been a bit (or blatantly) pessimistic regarding our playoff chances with our current defense, but I am optimistic that we’re going to see something good from Reinhart and Dehaan, possibly as well from some of the other prospects. I just don’t know if it’ll be quick enough to improve our defense significantly this season.
That said, I’m extremely excited to see Nelson play on the top line and to see Strome play with offensively talented players. Martin and Mcdonald aren’t ideal linemates for him yet he still was productive. Lee is someone I want on this team at the start of this season and in the top 9. With our numerous defensive prospects and our young forwards this team could be poised for a big jump in the standings but it may not be until next year, but we now have the pieces coming together to be a competitive playoff team for a long time.
It could be sooner than later we’re an actually contender, but by sooner I mean in 1-2 years depending on how quickly we can find a couple of top four defensemen in our prospect pool. I hope we see someone step up in a big way this season, like dehaan did for us last year (and hoping he continues to improve)
This year may be a bit disappointing but we’re so close to a big jump in the standings.

Well, sounds like the "NHL" squad can certainly take penalties with the best of 'em. |

Is the isles vs sens game on tv tonight? Is MSG network aware that the devils vs rangers doesn't need to be on 3 channels? |

There's no TV broadcast. Just one radio broadcast.
Bailey scored though, so I'm guessing somewhere spartiarti is running around with a lampshade on his head. |

I share your sentiments because the talent is great now but the tradition of winning still has to be established. In pro sports that cannot be taken for granted and has to come from within the team and from a fan base that really learns and knows hockey."

I was only able to listen, but "It's a shooting gallery" when the Isles were on the PK didn't sound very promising |
