Ya football, full of steroid junkies , gang bangers , wife beating child abusers , bank robbers , murderers , etc , etc , it goes on and on..Pro Sports is FRANKED!! In fact society is generally FRANKED. What say you Laughs?

Agreed. If an alien race came to our planet and were to judge sports based on which was the most exciting, hockey would clearly win. The only reason football is as popular as it is is because Americans were raised on it. Every aspect of hockey is superior.

True story, and the only reason soccer is popular is because it is simple, and all you need is a dirt field and a ball and anyone can play it...not exactly challenging.

Pretty much why I played growing up. Single mom, 3 kids and I loved to run. I still love playing, but I can't stand watching the diving and fake injuries hoping for a free kick. Don't kid yourselves too much though, it goes on a lot in hockey too. There is a lot more embellishment than there should be.

If you get caught clearly diving, you should be thrown out of the game and fined.

I play bottom of the barrel pretty much beer league and I guarantee you couldn't hack it if you haven't played a few years. I am in pretty good shape and my cardio is great, sub 38 minute 10k and I am wiped after a game. It is good fun, but really chippy and gets pretty dirty if the score gets lopsided.

If you can play soccer for a full 90 minutes, you can pretty much play any sport. Not well by any means, but you CAN play them.

Since when have the flyers been a lock for the playoffs most years??? The Oilers have won as many championships in the 90's, as the entire Philly pro sports Franchises have in the last 30 years......are you sure you should be here trolling? Does it make you feel better about the combined failure of the Philly teams???
- ruttager17

Philadelphia Flyers

Last 20 years (including 1 lockout year)
Missed playoffs 2 years
17 out of 19 years (89%)
2 Stanley Cup appearances
6 Conference Finals

27 years prior
Missed playoffs 7 years
20 out of 27 years (74%)
2 Stanley Cups
6 Stanley Cup appearances

TOTAL
37 out of 46 (80%)

Edmonton Oilers

Last 20 years (including 1 lockout year)
Missed playoffs 12 years
8 out of 19 years (42%)
1 Stanley Cup appearances
1 Conference Finals

15 years prior
Missed playoffs 2 years
13 out of 15 years (86%)
5 Stanley Cups
6 Stanley Cup appearances
8 Conference Finals

TOTAL
21 out of 35 (60%)

I'd say pretty much a LOCK unless 89% is too low for you. Actually I'm not trolling as much as you want to believe. I actually enjoy watching the Oilers, but enough is enough. They need to start winning or relocate them or sell the team.

Also you can also compare the Flyers to other organizations as well if you like. Like I said before, and most Philly fans will agree, it is super frustrating, but knowing you have teams that are backed by the city willing to win is at least encouraging.

Sooo....huh? Why would one of the most attended teams ,despite their record, need to relocate? Moving to Kansas City would make us instant winners?

Most of that list is co-ordination based. If you have the co-ordination to run and kick the ball while making moves you have the coordination to run and catch, hit a ball, anything accuracy related.

God you soccer pus$ies are so (frank)ing sensitive.
I just meant not hard to learn the game in comparison to a sport like hockey. You can walk outside right now, put on shoes, and kick a ball around in your backyard. Skates, stick, puck, etc, and finding ice are a little bit more challenging. You also don't know squat about my soccer prowess.....38 min 10k, pssssht, please, I do that in 22 while banging laughs hot sister.
