Hossa > O'Reilly
Sharp > Iginla
Duchene > Richards
Saad > Tanguay

again, what separates Colorado's top 6 is how good that second line is. that second line for Chicago doesn't compare with Richards and Saad.

Why? Richards should be a good fit on that line.

He wasn't bad for the Rangers, the problem was that he was bad for that obnoxious, inflated contract that Sather signed him to. Lower the dollars to about where they're at now and he is still a solid contributor.

No - they lost their number one center and are going to rely on a 2nd year rookie, who may or may not endure a sophomore slump and has never played center for a full 82 games, there are better top six's for sure!!
- LeftCoaster

Stastny wasn't the Avs' #1 center and hasn't been for a few years...

Iginla will have to produce more than Richards will have to. Can he do it for the entire season and Playoffs, I think not.

That's still 60 points you need to replace somehow.

yeah overall i really do think i'd take Pitts over anyone as long as Malkin, Crosby and 4 living, breathing humans are there.

Chicago versus Avs, I'd go with Chicago, Richards will probably be fairly decent, it's a no risk contract, but still overlooked. Pittsburgh will always be good with Malkin and Crosby centering those lines. Our top-6 is nice, though it's not the best. Put Tanguay on this third line and add another top-6 and it's potentially up there. My real concern is with the 3rd line though. Really don't have much confidence in Briere and I'd like more size there. Mitchell is a guy I rather have centering the 4th line, though when there's injuries I'm happy to have him slot up. Hopefully Conner Bleackley provides the size and 2-way play for the 3rd that we need in the future, would like to see Hishon make the team this year.

Also, for the person who said we lost out #1 Center, Stastny hasn't been our first line center since Duchene arrived.
