Interesting comments coming from the fan of a team that has a whopping 3 wins in the last two post seasons. But hey, your team looks great on paper though!

Because running into the Kings and the Hawks in the first round each time is such a walk in the park... If the Blues had a different opponent in each of those first rounds, it's a different outcome entirely. The Wild beat an Avs team who had three major factors injured in the first round. Remember when your team lost to the same team the Blues did the very next round?

All I said was I'd take the Kings top 2 lines in the playoffs over everyone other teams top 2 lines.

Not that they're the reason they won the Cup.

Kings don't have the best top 2 lines in the league. They have the most even 4 lines in the league. In terms of skill they lose out everywhere in the top 2. After Kopitar and Carter the highest point total on the team is 43. LA has been good because in terms of depth, everyone chips in. Kings had Mike Richards playing on the 4th line for goodness sakes.. Teams would kill to have a team that is so good that a guy like Richards is on the 4th line. LA is not a high scoring team, they had 3 more goals than Edmonton and 10 more than Florida. LA won based of their commitment to defence. They won because they played great as a team not because their top 2 lines were good.

Ahhh yes... I forgot about all the "special" and "extenuating" circumstances and "what ifs" that can always be attributed by Blues fans when it comes to the post season.

Ifs, buts, candy and nuts... that old chestnut.
