Better than the current, the Vegas gold is cheesy looking and needs to go IMO. I still like the snoop dog as my fav "black" jersey, the powder blue I thought was the best and most unique. These look a bit like Boston, and they thought the same back in the day.

Those are the only 2 I think, it was a short lived experiment, they look funny playing against teams who have normal socks and pants.

I never realized that the Flyers ones had their logo down on the ankle lol.

Edit: I never knew that the Cooperalls that the Flyers and Whalers wore, weren't even Cooperalls

From wiki:
A similar style of girdle and long pant, called the "Propac", was manufactured by CCM.[8] This design was worn by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1981-82 NHL season, and both the Flyers and the Hartford Whalers in the 1982-83 NHL season.[9][10][11][12]

Yellows would be the worst jersey in the NHL.... Throwback to a time when the Canucks home jerseys were yellow...

Agree, the yellow does not look good. Not really feeling the black and yellow either.

Those were bad.... nothing beats the Pavel Bure era white jersey. They just looked fast (or maybe it was because he was wearing them).

Just an FYI...

In an attempt to more closely mimic Penguins superstar center, Flyers center and known ass-grabber Claude Giroux sustained an injury early on day 1 of Flyers training camp and has yet to return.

Please argue about the different shades of yellow again. That was fun.

You could always use the diagonal lettering.

The intent wasn't to mimic the Steelers or the Pirates for that matter. It was more to unify the city with the black and gold. At the time of the original switch the Steelers and Buccos had just won super bowls and world series and the penguins were struggling so in an attempt to gain more of those fans they had gone to the same color scheme. Personally I think it's awesome that all the sports teams from one city have the same color. With Pittsburgh it's never about one team having an original identity, it's about all 3 teams having Pittsburgh's identity.

Edit: guess I kind of contradicted myself. Essentially the original purpose was to mimic and gain fans from it... whoops. Haha

Visually they remind of Lemieux, Jagr and the TWO Stanley Cups time. And that is something to relish. What a team, what a Lemieux, there's no better

Bruins didn't agree and tried to stop it. They do look too similar IMO.

It's funny, the NHL Pittsburgh Pirates were wearing black and gold while the Bruins were still wearing brown and gold.
