high expectations may equal high motivation for some players. Lets hope Boucher is one of those players. Even if he only hits 60, the motivation and work ethic that he potentially has makes those 60 points the best 60 points we could have.. as opposed to 60 coming from a Ryder-type player.

u guys reading TG's tweets? Jagr is an animal.

"I want to play until I'm 50, maybe more."
he think he can be "better" than last season, because he already knows the system and players and expects to have a healthy camp.
He signed a 1-year contract because he likes the challenge of having to earn another NHL contract next season.

heck, if he helps win us games then why the heck not?

As long as we fire PDB and hire Jagr as Player/Coach. He has Reg Dunlop written all over him .

Just found this website:

http://www.prosportstransactions.com/

It has all transactions whether it's a trade, free agent signings. It also shows the draft picks that have been traded or the picks that we still have. Pretty sweet.

It kind of stinks for Severson, but maybe bringing him on more slowly is for the best. I think he's probably just as good as the other 3 young guys, but even if he outplays a few guys, i don't think it'll matter much, he'll still be in Albany do to the contract situation.

I'm more interested in the forward battles. There's even less room there, but the spots are not held as tightly. You have Elias, Zajac, Jagr, Henrique, Camalleri, and if he's healthy, Clowe. Everyone else should be battling for their spot. Can Boucher show enough to force a trade or waiver placement? How about Matteau? Can Josefson take a step forward. 40 points in 60 AHL games, yet he hasn't been able to turn that into any success in the NHL. I'd like to see him take a spot in the regular lineup.

Josefson is so frustrating because he has all the talent needed to be a skilled NHL player except maybe to build his strength some, which is not uncommon for young players. Yet his production doesn't even resemble his talent, even when he is lined up with other skilled players. Granted that last part doesn't happen often.

I think another problem is that he keeps getting passed over for a 30/31 year old Gionta who's stats don't exactly jump out at you. I think JJ should be in every game, he is younger and does the same job that Gionta does. I have no problem with his production because if he was on the fourth line, he wouldn't have to put up over 20+ points and he could just play.

Hard to do much when you play every tenth game and maybe play two games in a row and pretty much practice he should of been a full timer in the ahl the past two season if this was how they where going to use him they have done absolutely nothing to make him better besides letting him practice with nhl player doing drills I'm sure he is one of the best players in the league when it comes to drills lol

I was going to saw the same thing, but I thought that everybody knows that or someone will point it out. I'd still prefer JJ over Gionta and unfortunately Gionta is signed for the next two years, as is JJ. I think Ben Johnson will be the fourth line center in a couple years anyway, but its a shame. I won't mind having him as a 13th forward going forward though.
