The "I'm not doing that" is nothing new for an NHL player. The thing is if you don't do what a coach wants, you better produce to make up for it. That's always been the golden rule in the NHL, or you end up getting benched the second your way doesn't work out. It's a non-story.

As for the 15lbs over weight........Gilmour played half his career 15lbs underweight. its whatever the player feels comfortable with. End of story.

And if Spott wants to tell stories at a conference, or Leiwike wants to tell stories, who the f cares.

finding it very hard (for the first time ever) to be excited for the season. I do think individual players will grow in leaps and bounds. Expecting Gardiner to have a very good season in particular.
