Where'd you hear this?

It's online that he's heading out of Columbus until a deal is done.

RyJo packed up his poop and is flying to Van... Do you guys think he is just trying to leverage a deal by threat of OS?
- bezz44

Blue Jacket management was saying he wasn't welcome around the rink/gym in Columblus...

That relationship is beyond toxic now, we are actually approaching the point where a deal might be possible

Of course. I think his agent is really the one (frank)ing this up, and he has RJ convinced..for now.

When management is trying to split the player and agent through public comments then it is bound to get rocky. Better to keep it all on the down low, in the negotiating room.

Would like to see arbitration or some other option to settle this.

What is RJ worth when Columbus says he hasn't shown enough? He is worth a ton, so pay him.

Is it too late to offer sheet or is there any time limit?

He can still be given an offer sheet. Still think CBJ would match even if it's more than they want to give up.

Let's assume we get a chance to get RJ. Who do we have to trade that will make this happen. Keep in mind that we don't have cap space and RJ wants north of 6mil (current offer from CBJ). All of our players that make that kind cash have a NTC with the exception of Miller. We all know Miller won't go there. I think we are stuck with the lineup we have till either Burrows or Hansen or Higgins lights it up and we can sell high and get a good player.
Sorry if I changed the optimist day to a realist day...but I am tired of these pie in the sky scenarios that we Canucks fans are known for.

Yup, someone making decent money would have t go the other way for sure, and most of those guys have NTC's. It's still a pipedream.

Honestly think the only way we could swing it would be a cap dump (burr or someone) somewhere for a bag of chips, followed by an OS or a trade for picks/prospects, thus gutting our depth once more

We are on the same web site right? And these types of scenarios are not reserved solely for the pleasure of Canucks fans....

What do they say? Lets not let facts get in the way of a good story.

Still curious to see what Miller actually has for a ntc... (and of course, Columbus doesn't need a goalie either)

Benning may as well wear tights and a cape cause in Benning we trust and he can swing any trade.
