Disagree. In the long run Gordon >Horcoff...but the Oilers did miss some of what he brought to the table.
Also, you can pin Yak on Eakins if you want, but Schultz regressed, Eberle was not as prolific,RNH just came off surgery, Gagner was a damaged case, and Dubnyk was at his worst.

I get that feeling you are firmly entrenched in the camp that thinks Eakins is solely responsible for the Oilers regression last year and that all other factors will be disregarded.

no i'm not in the fire Lowe camp, no i'm not in the the Eakins is soley responsible camp, i'm in the Eakins is a (frank)ing retard camp and carries the most responsibility for the THE ENTIRE TEAM regressing last year, and I blame Yakupovs season about 80% on Eakins because of the way he treated him and the way he "utilized"him, if you can call what he did utilizing. Goaltending was a huge issue for sure, but if you can't see how (frank)ing brutal Eakins was at rolling lines and setting up systems and utilizing players and talents, it just makes me question your credibilty..... Yakupov stuggeling defensively? Lets keep him off the 5v3 and put him on the point for the 5v4

oh almost every single player on the team is struggeling and playing poopty defensively? Lets put the rookie with 48 games under is belt on the 4th line and in the press box and let every single other player who's playing (frank)ing horribly continue to play with, no demotions, no benchings, no press box, just the rookie who lead our teams in goals the previous year

When and where did I absolve Eakins of any guilt? I don't think he did a great job at all, but I also don't think Kruger was taking this team in the right direction either. How many wins did Kruger have? I might be wrong but I believe that in 13 of the Oilers wins they were badly, badly, outshot. I see the Oilers 2012-13 season as similar to the Leafs. Not sustainable (and clearly it wasn't).

Does anyone else think that the Hall Nuge Ebs line at camp is the best supported? Lol...They get the Gordon line and both NHL goalies, not to mention 2 of the 3 most experienced defenders.

Could be hope, but all a look and see. I really expected Draisaitl and Nurse to get a lot of chances in camp. A lot of future hinges on them. If either guy can show some good chemistry early that future isn't as far away.

The downside. Nurse excels with Petry. Petry has you by short and curlies. And Judging by MacT's hair his short and curlies are real curly.
