Why did Ryan O'Reilly? Because someone out there is always willing to overpay. - TheJerseyDevil1
Bc his life coach dad got invovled and wanted his son to be paid fairly for his "leadership" and "characteristic traits" that he brings to the team besides his 2 way game.
But every team has a player who isnt willing to take a hometown deal or a cut in pay to stay with a team on the upswing or a contender.
Sometimes you jsut have to over pay to keep the player, try and replace ROR or RJ through trade or free agency...you will spend the same, lose assets, or acquire lesser players for the same cap hit that they wanted. |

Its a retarded pov. Always hated how people knock the Lumbus fans cause they didn't pack the house over the ten years or so that this franshise was run by idiots.
Guarantee 90% of the league would have similar attendance figures if their organizations gave them nothing to be excited about for that many years. - TheJerseyDevil1
It might be a Canadian POV and a retarded POV, but remember RJ is Canadian, and very well may be retarded. |

So is Josh Gorges, and he opted to be traded to one of the worst teams in history over Toronto. Different strokes for different folks as they say. |

Those damn nonconventional markets...

So demand for Canucks tickets is lower after the teams league-leading sellout streak finally came to an end after over a decade.
Ya, sounds really similar to Columbus. |

That's because Vancouver has had a relevant team for the last 10 years...
Did you even read the context I posted that in? My point is that very few fanbases would sell out every night when their on-ice product was as bad as Columbus'. Way over your head. |

It's Vancouver, they will sell tickets in that market with a half decent team, two broken ginger towers and no goalies... but that's a Canadian POV eh! |

Woah, woah, woah. So you're telling me that in most markets there is a direct correlation between how good a team is and how many tickets they sell? Genius! How do you expect this NOT to be over my head?! What a revelation! You should get in touch with some NHL team business/marketing departments. I'm sure they would be very interested in this type of stuff. |

Season tickets sales carried over from the previous season, roughly 17,500. Season ticket holders purchase tickets before the season starts. This season ticket sales are down about 20%. Brokers can't sell tickets at all. Resales are non-existent. |

a former 7th overall who has 38 goals and 94 points over the past year and a half + a 2nd for a former 4th overall with 38 goals and 75 points in the same timeframe.....
It's not nearly as bad as the Kesler for Johansen and a 1st proposals that appeared on nucks thread for the past year |
