It's a little difficult to pick a coach or players for a sytem when there's no system in place at the top. The Leafs management seems to roll out of bed and changes philosphy as frequently as they change underpants.

If you want garbled crap, Yost is at TSN.
- LeafMan

Regardless of your thoughts on Yost, you got to appreciate that he took a half-assed blogger position on a half-asses hockey rumour site and turned it into a job with TSN.

Yost should send a thank you card to Melnyk.

Maybe Polak with phaneuf 5 on 5 and penalty kill. I like the sounds of it.

I love how possession people say Polak possession numbers were bad so he is no good but if you watch him play, he gets the puck on his stick and clears it, he is not a puck rusher or holds onto the puck, yet another instance of looking solely at stats and not watching the player. Mirtle falls into this category.
- LeafMan

I dont think you really get what the stats are about

Yost is a cool guy. I talked to him on skype a few times. Glad he's making it in the world. Turned a U of Phoenix degree into money...not (frank)ing bad at all.

I think so, older and played with tougher competition, Drouin may struggle a bit.

The only coach who I want and who is somewhat available is Babcock. Every other coach wont help this team when we're lacking so much
- jbold

Torts is looking for a job. He's known as a good motivator… or is it a good macerator. Anyway, he's available.

I agree. And while I don't understand them...Analytics are a useful tool to those who know how to use them.

They wouldnt have been a playoff team. We had 2 legit NHL centers..

Step back and look at the roster we had...

And of course your opinion on Wilson and those teams changed. Mine didnt. I knew our teams were poop.

Just like how I know our team and roster isnt very good right now.

So I wont be surprised 3 seasons from now when your opinion on this team will change, too.

if the leafs gave up 550 less shots in 82 games... thats roughly 40-45 goals less

might have helped
