the leafs easily would have been a playoff team with a coach who could run a system that gave up maybe 30 shots instead of 37.

we can go back and see now that the RW leafs were decent teams that were killed by below avg goalies . At the time I did blame wilson. My opinion on those teams has changed. the stats help you see a lot of stuff you ignore or dont understand.

I love how possession people say Polak possession numbers were bad so he is no good but if you watch him play, he gets the puck on his stick and clears it, he is not a puck rusher or holds onto the puck, yet another instance of looking solely at stats and not watching the player. Mirtle falls into this category.

Step back and look at the roster we had...
