Awesome, id love to at least see the kid get a regular season tryout. Pumped to watch him play - Shaundre93
If you read the articles on csnne.com, nesn.com, or weei.com you will quickly find out that Chia and Sweeney have been pretty high on him.
He's been at the captains practices since they started and they have supposedly been upping the physicality on him to se if he will adjust.
He hasn't been shy about contact, goes to the dirty areas and has a terrier tenacity about getting the puck. Hell he even chipped a tooth during the prospects games and when right back out on the ice.
But, with a 170 lb., 6' frame that.......that's the problem.....he needs more beef.
If they did have him play in the lineup, Chia said it would be with other skill players so it's not going to be on the fourth line.
I think it's still a long shot, but, if you put him out there with krejic to mentor him AND Lucic to protect him......maybe it could work. |

FYI.....the first episode of the SECOND season of "Behind the B" aired last night. You can watch it on the bruins website.
The scouts after the rookie camp after the exit interviews were talking amongst themselves after Pastrnak left the room and were hinting/joking, positively, about him being on a line with Lucic and Krejic. |

Playing him with Lucic and Krejci is so logical it hurts. 1st line skill obviously, Lucic can help protect the kid and Krejci can mentor him. Iginla gets replaced without having to split up Eriksson and Soderberg. God I hope this kids ready |

Really? Like honestly? You think an 18 year old late 1st round pick can replace what Iggy brought to this team? Keep dreaming man. Loui has the ability to put up Iginla numbers if he stays healthy and plays in the top 6. The chemistry with Carl last year was great, but I think that you put anybody with carl at centre, youll get the same production out of the 3rd line. Pastrnak isn't ready to come in yet as he doesn't fit into the top 6 mold. Leino and fraser/caron on the 3rd line will be much better for this team. |

Listen, none of us know how ready Pastrnak is. All I know is what I read, which is all promising. This article, in fact, is about the possibility of him playing with Lucic and Krejci. If he's going to make the team, that is the logical place to play him. That doesn't mean I think hell score 30, but if he shows up as advertised, I think he could be a nice replacement for iggy, and having Soderberg and Eriksson on the 3rd gives the B's a 3rd line that would rival many quality 2nd lines. If Pastrnak is deemed not ready by the professionals who's job it is to determine that, then I would be 100% ok with Loui on the top line |

And you'd seriously rather have Leino-Soderberg-Caron as the 3rd line than give a young kid a shot on the top line? |

Leino brings a similar style game as pastrnak (maybe not as quick and flashy) and is a proven playoff performer, something we have been is desperate need of for a few years now. The things i've read about Pastrnak are all good as well, and i'm excited about him, but I just think there is no reason to rush him into the show now. Playing in sweden for another year and then perhaps the AHL will allow for this development where he will hopefully become the next dk46 |

Do you read any other sites other than this one...?
Chia has said that he wants to see how the guys gel when camp opens. To see if any players have taken any big jumps in development.
With what I have been reading, the trade we are all waiting for will not likely happen until the camp has already started. - JIwasinskiJr
I do read other sites but im not sold on an 18 year old who never played a game in the league yet, I dont care what Chia is saying, they have their backs against the wall and dont know what to do and you know it |
