Anisimov should be a prime target

Yakupov and Arco had decent possession numbers together, just over 50%

If we could swing like Perron for Anisimov (maybe they add a pick like a 2nd?)

Hall Nuge Eberle

Yak Anisimov Arco

Pouliot Kelly Purcell

Kelly is not completely useless offensively either. 8-10 goals and 25 points is plausible between purcell and Pouliot. Could also swap Purcell and Arco there and still have some size spread out.

I have to think if the rumor is true that both NYI and EDM want Boychuk wouldn't NYI if they lose out look at Petry? We really don't have room so what could we get for Petry or even Petry+?

Considering the term left on Petry's deal, i think the best we can hope for (depending on when he's traded) is Josh Bailey. Good possession numbers, still young, so may be worth looking at him further.

Now Petry + Perron would be intriguing to NYI. They could really use a LW. I've thrown out (which hasn't been laughed at by NYI fans)

Petry + Perron for Nelson + Bailey - both can play C or LW.

Risk on our part, in that Nelson is inexperienced but has big upside. However, we also risk only getting a prospect + pick for Petry at the trade deadline (or nothing at all).

Robbing peter to pay Paul kinda. Although I agree that centre is a much bigger issue, losing Perron puts a massive dent in our biggest strength.
Arco is a HUGE step down from Perron. and while I certainly like anisimov, he hasn't proven he's much of a scoring star either.

Mostly just for argument sake, I think uve taken a big chunk out of our secondary scoring with these lines.

I'd go for the available low risk option alone. And spread out the offence. As well as insulate some suspect defensive players with just that

Pouliot, nuge , Ebs
Hall, Arco, Purcell
Perron, Kelly, yaks

Purcell and yaks are pretty interchangeable in this scenario. If yaks is playing well and not a total liability without the puck, move him up to second.

Ya, I agree with your assessment of the secondary scoring. Was blinded by the lack of C depth

I like line 1 there a lot. Pouliot has an unreal release and plays with some fire. Adds a bit of grit/feistiness to compliment Nuge and Eberle.

I think I like the Hall - Arco - Yak lineup. Always liked Hall and Yak together by using the eye test.

just watchd a good shift by Draisaitl 5 on 5, he looks pretty big out there

back checked and took the body on the play to break it up

made a good outlet pass to get it out of our zone

set up tkachev for a good chance.

He's been looking pretty good. good positioning and vision, the Kharia goal was a beauty tic tac toe. Tkachev has been looking really good, Kessey has looked pretty good in this game too, great hustle to outwork the D and throw it infront for a goal.

liking what i've seen so far, at least we're not getting demolished like in previous years

Leon's looking pretty (frank)ing slick, too! He and Tkachev are looking great together.

Roy and Platzer have also been quietly solid.

The guy is fast and has a good shot but the Oilers goalie should of saved both goals he scored. That game could of easily been 8-4 Edmonton if it wasn't for the Jets goalie standing on his head at points lol. I can't wait until the season starts!!

Kid is at 215 right now. As soon as he has some man strength, he will either be a stronger 215 or play at 225

Ya I think I'm jumping off the Perron-for-centre train now. Perron is just too useful and Draisaitl could fill that 2C like as early as 2015.

Sh*t game for Tuohimaa I'll take it..?

What a brutal time for a game. Viewership doesn't tend to skyrocket at 12:30 on a monday
