the goalis is jorma valtonen - who was on the finnish 80 olympic squad. lucky for him, he was not on the lokomotiv plane that killed the whole team except one player. he was asked to stay back and work with the junior squad. varlamov was also on that team for 5 minutes over the summer but decided to come back to the nhl. weird with the goalies.

Jefferson Airplane?

They're not bad. Not a band I listen to, per se, but I can recognize their stuff and won't change it if it comes on Sirius radio

Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson starship. The stage was now set for the Alan Parsons project, which I believe was some sort of hovercraft.

I'd like to see Lecavalier get an opportunity at Hartnell's powerplay spot. He's a big body and his slapshot is oh so deadly.

Rather see Bellemare on wing with Laughton.

He's more comfortable on the RW side, coming in on the off wing

Berube apparently is starting PEB at center in camp.

But on the powerplay he'd be planted high slot (leaning towards Giroux's side). That's just slightly off from his sweet spot which would be the high slot on the RW side. And during a powerplay cycle it wouldn't matter if he's more comfortable coming in off the wing. He'd just need to control a high slot area physically.

Good, maybe he'll be playing there until White is healthy.

Akeson-Lecavalier-Umberger
Raffl-PEB-Rinaldo?

I'd like to get Rinaldo out of there sooner rather than later.

I'd rather use him in a similar role to Voracek on the 2nd PP

It's not a bad idea. I'd be happy with Vinny or Schenn in Hartnell's old area. Does the 2nd PP use the same strategy that the 1st PP uses? I forget what it's called but it's kind of like a sideways umbrella.

Yeah, it's an umbrella QB'd from the left side boards.

Speaking of the PPs... what are we expecting the second unit to look like? I thought I heard Berube wants to get Coots out there on the PP. Assuming G, Jake and Simmonds are your first unit this is what I've got.

Schenn Coots Vinny/Read

MDZ is probably your 2nd D man you want out there after Streit.

That would be interesting actually. It's worked with Jake and Sami...ok Sami not so much.

I would certainly give him a look there. He's got a wrister as good as anyone on this team. Sneaking him in off the point could work.

Tis the season of flocks of white girls in yoga pants holding their iphone in one hand and their pumpkin spice latte in the other "literally dying right now" because they "just can't even"
