Their 5 on 3 was strangely not effective last season, especially considering how good their first PP unit was.

I don't remember Sanheim's partner (didn't really stand out) but the other 2 were the D pairings they used on Saturday. Ghost and Morin make for quite the contrasting pair.

I'd love to see Pitbull jack some dude up. The Caps have any Ruskies on their rookie squad?

Too much time passing once the had the 5-3...what made them good on the 5-4 was the cycle down low behind the net and digging the puck out and getting the D out of position...on the 5-3 they got fancy passing but could never get the D out of position so it would be pass, pass, pass, shot and then puck was out of the zone...they need keep the urgency on in the 5-3..just felt that they had so much talent on the PP they changed too much...the entire line was guilty of it...

Surprisingly, no.

If that means leaving Jake wide open to shoot and didtribute, I'm okay with it. I think he's becoming one of the most underrated players in the league. Our best player in the playoffs last year.

Probably the 4th line. Laughton in all likelihood will be given big AHL minutes as opposed to garbage minutes with the big club.

It'll give Vinny a chance to redeem his value as well.
