Pittsburgh was either keeping tabs or in major trade talks with Edmonton on Ales Hemsky (E10) for three straight years, but nothing ever happened

Lack doesn't make any sense for the Jets. They like their current prospect pool when it comes to goalies. I would imagine the jets would be asking for Horvat, though.

Lack is an upgrade on your present starter... If Luongo had been moved and Schneider stayed, Lack would have been pushing for his job too.

When Kane comes out and says he loves playing in the Peg , then it will be over. Until then it is open season.
- VANTEL

He will only come out and say he loves playing in the Peg when it is a road trip and not his home rink.

No way lack would be pushing Schneider, if that would have been the case why sign miller? We can't trade pavelec for a bag of pucks, so it still clogs the jets system by adding another tender.

Lack is a great young talent that got overplayed down the stretch last year. Yes, he would be pushing Schnieder if he was still here.

Lack would be #1 on many teams.

Dude, he has no connection to the Jets. No need to lie to him about Lack. He is a very capable back up who can handle 30-40 games, any more than that and you see what happened last year. He hasn't proven to be anymore than a 1C/2A type goalie. He would maybe be a #1 on a couple teams.. but wouldn't mean he would do well in that position.

You didn't answer the question, why sign miller then? If he's the answer, by signing miller you have wasted cap space. You may think he's the answer, but Canucks obviously don't agree with you.

So another team at TDL who think they have a chance of going all the way if they had goaltending will trade for him

I am not the only one who thinks signing Miller was a waste when we only needed an experienced backup.

I'd still say he is an upgrade over what Winnipeg presently has.

So maybe Hutchinson.....would brings me to my first point that lack is no more of a upgrade then what the jets going with, so why would they want lack in a trade for Kane.

I was willing to give Lack the reins this year as long as we had a vet back up. Who knows, maybe Miller will be willing to waive to go to the Peg when Lack out plays him.

So you figure your new hotshot gm, who's number one priority was signing miller is going to turn around and trade him (possibly to winnipeg) because all of a sudden they going to give the majority of starts to lack and make miller the back up...
