Right, the guy who finished 3rd in voting last year has no chance.

Ok, well, it's theoretically possible he will win - Jose (frank)ing Theodore won a Vezina Trophy once, after all.

I don't think Ben Bishop is an 'all-world' goalie, who will be considered top-3 year in and year out, however.

(If I gave you a choice between Rask, Quick, Lundqvist, Rinne, Price, and Bishop, I suspect Bishop wouldn't be one of your top-three).

And it was 100% deserved.

Totally. Some goalies are quite good for a few seasons, and incredible for one. Hell, had Craig Anderson stayed healthy during the lockout season he might well have picked up that Vezina.

That being said, just because a goalie has had one Vezina-nominated season is not enough to indicate that he'll win one in the future (though, again, it's not inconceivable).

I think Ben Bishop is a quite good goaltender, talent-wise perhaps as good or better than either of the goalies that the Senators have. Just don't think he's 'elite'.

I do agree that Bishop has a tough task and needs to be near as good for Tampa to win the conference.

Hopefully for his sake his wrist will be ready for the regular season. He's still recovering from surgery.

No, not enough consistency out of him to consider him top 5 yet. He somewhat quietly had a great year last year.

With his size and a solid team in front of him, I wouldn't bet against another solid year for him and he has the potential to put up another great year. He also played a lot of last year with a wrist injury. Staying healthy is a concern.

I don't believe in Boston to win the East.

They are in salary cap problems, probably will lose a good defensman to make cap room and Chara is losing a step. They will be close but they wont win it.

Pittsburgh is a season team. It will be close between them and TB.

If Bishop stays healthy, TB should win it.

chara had a weak series against mtl, it happens. But this hb myth thats somehow become fact is silly. Chara was a norris finalist last year. He was elite. Maybe take a couple mins a night off his toi before the playoffs, but until proven otherwise, he has not lost it.

Same goes for boston. Best team in the east by a country mile. If not for price standing on his head, they coulda won it all. Again, better teams run into unconcious goalies in the playoffs. It happens. Theyre the only team from the east that has any real chance at beating whoever comes out of the west. Tbay is the sexy pick, but boston is unequivocally the best team in the east[/img]
