Doesn't he own the right to Empire?

I always thought Time Warner did when it bought Adelphia, but I could be way off on that.

Not that this is the Pegulas' fault by any means, but nothing screams irony like making a front page News article about how a wealthy couple likes to keep an extremely low profile:

I think icing on the penalty kill is necessary, otherwise the team killing the penalty would be trying to freeze the puck any way they can. This would just cause more delays.

My change to the power play would be to have it continue for the entire two minutes regardless if the PP team scores. To counter that though, I would have the power play end if the PK scores a shortie. Is the power play that much of an advantage? The best teams scored less than one goal evey 4 power plays and the worse team scored one goal every 10th power play.

Haven't found a definitive answer yet, but did find this nugget:

Rumors of Empire's revival had been spread in 2006 as the window for an "out clause" in the Sabres-MSG contract opened, combined with Time Warner Cable's acquisition of the Buffalo market, thereby uniting all of upstate New York under one cable provider. Those rumors, however, were squashed when a 10-year contract extension between the Sabres and MSG was announced.

So the contract is up in 2016? That could lead to a possible ramp up to a new channel.

EDIT: finally "real" confirmation that the contract is through 2016 (not just wikipedia, but an old sabres.com article).

Possibly. If Time Warner was involved, however, I would imagine it would want to use its own Sports Network as the platform. Then again, with the company being bought out by Comcast, who knows what the landscape would look like by then.

Alright, this is totally off topic, but I have an interesting question to ask.

I have a friend that has been dating his significant other for about 3 years. She was sick of waiting for him to propose, so she proposed to him. Got him a ring and everything.

Thoughts?

Ermagerd!!! What did he say??

Seriously though, nothing wrong with that, though I imagine it surprised him.

That could go both ways. On one hand, his pride could end up hurt (ultimately, I say "too bad"). On the other hand, it could make for a great story down the road if it works out.

If there's still ramblin in the rambler, let him go.

Other than that, I applaud her for breakin out of traditional gender roles. Hopefully this means she also randomly solicits him for sex in the middle of her marathon weekend Xbox sessions.

Nothing wrong with that at all in my opinion.
At least she will know where she stands in his life now, and if it includes her in the future as well.
I have a soft spot for strong forceful women.
Congratulations to her.

He said yes. All of his friends think it's a terrible idea. She is grade 1 crazy. No joke. He was gonna propose to her about 2 years ago and she went off the deep end about something really trivial and he decided not to do it.

If he found out about the "crazy" 2 years ago and stayed with her then who is actually the crazy one in the relationship?

I believe I read somewhere that that was a rule back in the day (keeping the PP going for 2 minutes even if the PP team scored). However, the rule was abolished because of how good the Habs were back then haha

Oh, I get what you're saying. Because we keep saying that to him too. But, he's bascially with her still because he's afraid of being alone. The entire situation is messed up and backwards.

When he called his best friend yesterday to tell her she straight up told him she can't be supportive and that it's a bad idea.

Might be surprised how many marriages have been (about 50% successfully) founded on that very thing.

Me, I basically would rather be alone - I guess I fight the opposite battle.

And this is why I'm single.

Haven't found the right person, and I won't stay with the wrong one just because either.

In the end that piece of paper after the words I do are cited means nothing.
Vows live within the heart.
Not on some piece of paper.
I wish them both happiness however they may choose to find it.
