Tripping is also clarified to be a penalty if a player dives with his body, arm or shoulder to interfere with an opponent, even if he gets to the puck first."
What the hell is this? You get two interference penalties and you get a game misconduct? Who (frank)ing though up this garbage? I guess that means that if you get a neutral zone interference call, and a goaltender interference call, you're out of the game?
I'm also not sure I really like the "even if he gets to the puck first" tripping call. A player should be allowed to make a play on the puck. |
