The Bills have more conference championships than the Sabres though I mean people want to bag on them it doesn't make sense. The early 90's were the best stretch any organization in this city had. The Sabres were good for 2 years and mediocre/terrible since. I just don't understand the hate for one crappy franchise and the love for basically the same crappy franchise of a different sport.

Until Darcy was let go a lot of people were fed up with the Sabres.

I was one of them but I still loved them. I wasn't going to stop rooting for them because Darcy was still there.

If the post lockout 2005-2007 Sabres never existed, I think more people would have felt how they do about the Bills.

I am a huge fan of both teams, but having the same 6-10 or 7-9 team for over a decade straight wears on you

Sure does wear on you but so did the race to 9th or a first round exit. I just find it amusing people single out the Bills that's all

Agree. I also feel an a average season for the Sabres is far more fun than the average season for the Bills. When your football is average you can see the writing on the wall four games in. You're going to get trounced by the real teams and beat most of the lousy teams. With hockey there's not only a longer season to turn things around, but within even an average season you have win streaks, come backs, fights, all sorts of drama. It ain't over till its over. Excluding last season of course.

Ugh, that guy.

I see Gio playing top 6 then gradually moving his way down to the third line full-time by the end of this deal. Ideally he'd start moving between them as soon as the end of this season, certainly by next. Armia, Grigorenko, etc. start eating his offensive zone starts, etc. Methinks Gio knows the score and would be fine with it. Esp if his jersey sells well and has one of the first three letters in the alphabet stitched onto it.

as usual, well put...just a question...

what would the letter "b" on his sweater mean?

For a while, there, I thought they were going to paint a Bills logo at center ice.

A hybrid logo would be pretty funny, would have been a bit of showboating on pegula's part though.

I don't like football.

There are much better things to do on a Sunday afternoon IMO.
