I think that's debatable but with the rangers and devils it's seems to go in periods of 4-7 years where one of them slows down and the other picks up and so on right now you guys have McDonough kreider Stepan Hagelin and frodo. Our guys are starting to make an impact and a few will be 2-3 years away there is usually a 2-3 year period where both teams are good at the same time. I'm just curious if there is a guy in your system to replace Henrik or if you think they will fill that hole via free agency down the road as he still has more then a few years left

I was just wondering if they thought he could be a number one and if so a upper echelon starter and if not who else is down there goalie wise. I think we rarely draft goalies because they are such a crap shoot

Yea true. Teams like the hawks and kings that are good now went through phases of total failure and teams that were dynasties back in the day like the leafs and islanders are laughing stocks. It all goes in cycles. Rarely is a team consistent for decades like detroit.

As for a hank replacement...we just drafted 2 goalies this year. They both have elite starting potentual but who really knows? They're like 5 years away. Talbot is 28 already I think and might walk as a ufa next year.

I was just on nhl.com says Malone will skate with rangers does that mean he is on a try out or just that he is allowed to practice with them

He's been skating with the team at the informal skates but is getting a tryout at camp too.

Nah I think he's too slow for our system. Lombardis skating fits in perfectly. Maybe malone could beat out glass for the 4RW spot though.

Please don't change a thing!! As for the rest So let me guess Jagr is better now than he was on the Rangers and it's better to be old than young?
- HankdaTank

Is your profile picture of Lundqvist when you won the cup? Oh wait, that would be Richter... Jagr had a really good year last year, of course he's not going to last forever, like Temmu Selanne. This all started with saying our players are over the hill at 29....if that's the case, most of the NHL is over the hill and hockey as we know it will be coming to an end or having s complete overhaul

Yea he is slow but I question if Lombardi can play at all at least Malone played in the nhl last season at some capacity did Lombardi even play in one of the top leagues outside of the nhl ?

He led the swiss league in scoring. He'll be hit or miss but I don't think Malone is in competition with Lombardi.

Our team right now looks like:
Nash - Stepan - MSL
Kreider - Brassard - Zuccarello
Hagelin - X - Stempniak
X - Moore - Glass

For the 3rd line center hole, Miller, Lindberg, and Lombardi will be fighting over that. The Rangers apparently see Hayes as a center so he will be competing too.

Fast will be fighting with Malone for the final winger spot. I guess if Hayes or Miller win the 3C spotthen Lombardi would be fighting with Malone. Whoever has the best training camp will make the roster at the end of the day.

Have to say, I was watching Jersey play in the '12 playoffs, be a loud @$$ and talking crap on Philly... This guy next to me tells me he's a flyers fan, so naturally we start talking smack, mostly somewhat friendly... In Cali, I'm the only Devils' fan at least where I am, and so everyone chimes in, all the bandwagon kings fans who mysteriously appear out of nowhere and it got a little heated lol good times... Have to say, that's part of the fun of actually having a team... Guess it's fun being a bandwagoner though, cause then you're always on the winning team, even though you don't know Jack $hit about them

I love his size. And if he can play center and makes the team as a center his size would be great to have down the middle. He clearly has an offensive scoring touch but we'll see how much was due to playing with Johnny Hockey.

Probably starts the year in the AHL just because that's the way the Rangers operate but his size, skating, and offense makes me excited.

Sure was a lot of talk about him, but that might just be due to the lack of news being off season lol except Claude Giroux gropping a cop repeatedly
