No, we already lost (if that's the right way to put it) Nodl to Carolina. Maybe Danny Syvret.

No problem. Sadly, I'm not sure what process is associated with it per step 1.

I've never been, but my dad was a big taper and I grew up on it. He had both volumes of "The Deadhead's Taping Compendium" which is...too much. So yeah, I kinda know the flow of a Dead show.

The Krejci deal is very good. Looking around the league Pietrangelo's deal is probably the best one in the league. His or Doughty's.

St. Louis really battles with their RFA's. I think it works well for them

I think it's just scouts/coaches going to watch a specific player, then taking a shine to some other guy on the team due to repeated viewings.

Alderson and Cousins, Hatch and Ghost, Leier and Noebels, Lamarche and Straka, serially collecting kids out of Team Canada U20, etc.

Exactly how Pavel datsyuk was discovered. The scout went to see a teammate of Datsyuk's and was enamored with Datsyuk.

Looking at it now... its a steal compared to others. Even Malkin/Ovechkin are paid more. Which they obviously shouldnt be.

Haven't seen this linked on here... Timmy's interview of Hexy... some retread stuff, but also some juicy morsels regarding MDZ and Vinny:

I think he and Malkin have the same cap hit.

They were there to scout Dmitri Kalinin, who was playing for the opposition. One part serendipity, one part scouting infrastructure.

Thanks. I liked this bit:

Since you mention Bellemare, is he a potential Michael Raffl in your mind?

Hextall: He’s going to have to come over here and show that. Our guys really liked him. Good size, he can skate, he’s a smart player. He can score. Yeah, I think he has a chance of being a really good player. In saying that, coming from the big ice to the smaller ice, it’s a big transition. We’ll see how he comes into camp and how quickly he transitions to smaller ice.

My favorite part was when he acknowledged that the 2nd-line has no chemistry and probably needs to change.

Hope Laughton makes the team

That puts 4 good centers down the middle (Giroux,Cout,Lecav,Laughton)
with a very solid winger lineup around them LWs (Schen,RJ,Raffl,Akeson) and RWs (Jake,Read,Simmonds,Bellemare/Rinaldo)

I just can't see Laughton being on the fourth line based on what Hexy says. If he would be on the fourth line in the NHL, I expect him to go to the AHL where he can play much more.

I hope so also. And I think there is a very good chance of that happening. They may also temporarily have to demote him for cap maneuvering.
