...okay then.

I...I don't know what is happening.

EDIT: I mean more often than not when people bring up NM/TCs they're on the road that says this team is going to be strapped to contracts in the future, etc. I guess that's not what you were going for then.

Umberger's already been moved so I'm pretty sure that's a dead issue.

At that point, it's more of a handshake deal, isn't it?

My apologies MJL and jmatchett383, I didn't mean to come off aggressive.

Heading out for Dinner.

It means what I said you. You and jmatchett383 both brought up Hartnell.
- SuperSchennBros

Yes to prove a point that I think the worry over players having NTC and NMC isn't always justified. Hartnell had one and he was traded. It can certainly affect a team at times, but a lot of times it doesn't. So I don't worry about it.

No, and I never said you couldn't, yet you seem to have a stick up your ass with me mentioning that Hartnell had one as well.

My understanding is that if the team decides to honor it, it stays in effect as a contractural obligation

It's not foolproof, but according to capgeek, it is still in place.

A player can also demand that the team honor as a condition for waiving their clause to be traded. And an addendum will be added to the contract that it is still in effect.

Also, I don't believe that Luke Schenn does have a NTC, although I could be wrong. Even if he does, it does not kick until the 15/16 season.

Was everyone here aware that Giroux, Simmonds, Coburn, L. Schenn, LeCavalier, Umberger and Grossman all have no trades or no movement clauses?
- SuperSchennBros

Grossmann does? Why would a third pairing dman have a NMC? Who gave him that?

The same man that got promoted.

But hey, Hextall has full control running things. Snider and Holmgren are just bystanders in the whole thing.

Most posters here must have looked at the Flyers capgeek page and seen the NMCs/NTCs before. Lots of teams have a similar amount.

I think Vinny's NMC is the only one that might actually have stopped the Flyers from making a trade.

Matt Cooke is a sad case to me. The guy actually has the skill to play a top-9, maybe even a top-6 role. He just can't keep his head on straight, although he's been much better recently.
- jmatchett383

No he hasnt been better

He was suspended for only 3 or 4 games in the playoffs after taking one of the AVS top offensive defensemen out with a purposeful knee to knee contact

He is not sad, he is a criminal

I did a few posts during the season that showed the Flyers were actually middle of the pack in terms of handing out NTCs

Trio on that

Somehow you hope skill and hard work and team commitment to system makes it a good year and players are in the proper roles

So the Pens could possibly have both Carcillo and Downie this season? As crazy as this may sound, I'd take either one over Rinaldo easily and I do like Zac Rinaldo.

He pretty much should by default. Unless Gordon or VanderVelde beats him out, which would be sad.
