I know he is in a wlak year but the isles have the assets and cap room to bring him in and then pay him.

I could live with this if he proves he can still play. I'd rather have boychuk but I imagine Boston is going to ask a lot for a physical top 4 defenseman, even if he is in the final year of his deal.

As long as people play I am all good for it. I have been in leagues where no one plays

- kasperrko

That's usually solved by making it for money but unfortunately I'm not paying you wanker strangers that I don't know from the internet.

I'll put together the stuff for the league soon and post the link and registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

I was thinking 10 or 12 teams, makes it deep enough where you have to think but not so deep that you're drafting a ton of fourth line d!ckwads that nobody cares about. I guess I could start with 10 and expand to 12, if needed.

I was in a league where my friend bought a replica Stanley Cup and who ever won kept the cup until the next year. But 12 teams is good but I still say start with 10. I don't want to end up picking up Daniel Carcillo to be my starting winger

10 is usually ideal, 12 is good too. I usually join a free public league with like 14 teams just to test myself every year.

The Cup idea is fun if it's guys you know.

Random:

Anyone interested in doing an Isles-thread fantasy hockey league?

Preferably guys who will actually continue to be active even if their team sucks donkey dong.

- eichiefs9

I'd be interested

I'd be interested
- PeteM

For everyone:

Setting it up now, curious to see if anyone has input. I set it up the way I generally like it but if the overwhelming majority of people interested want to change something I'm perfectly fine with that.

2 C
2 LW
2 RW
4 D
2 G
1 Utilty (any non-G position)
1 IR
5 Bench

Scoring categories are as follows:

Players - G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHG, SOG, Hits, BS

Goalies - Wins, GAA, SV%, SO Minimum 3 starts per week

Max player acquisitions per week - 3

Roster changes become effective the following day

Everyone votes on trades, 2 days to vote before trade is accepted/denied

I think I covered everything

they have to do something and Boychuk is a big nut for them, I believe the other guys they are peddling don't make enough to get them under the cap.

Oh yeah that's what I forgot.

I just picked a random time far down the road. We can figure out a draft time that works for everyone after we know that there's enough guys in the league.

Welcome to the Islanders fanbase after being a Whaler fan. We appreciate your decision. It is a tough pill to swallow. The move sucks. Everyone understands why, it was just avoidable. The Jets should be here and the Isles. Nassau County Politics blew this. (again)

On another note, we understand you were heartbroken when the Whalers left. But that's like comparing the Yankees to the Pirates as far as passion and history would be concerned. They were a huge part of our lives growing up.

Brooklyn will definitely grow our base. There are a few things about the move I like. I love the fact that when we win the Stanley Cup again. We can march it right over the Brooklyn bridge and shove it up the asses of every Rags fan. And from what I hear they will be coming back to play in Nassau a few times a year. This would be perfect for holiday season rival games between the Isles and Rags. The coliseum would be lit up like a championship game every time. So all in all they will own New York shortly.
