I think its a mistake to pin greed on Bettman. Remember, he serves at the pleasure of the owners. On the other hand, I think it is absolutely fair to pin greed on the owners in the NHL.

Actually hes the pied piper leading the rats if thats the correct fable or the rich lemmings. They were not a united bunch before him. Owners greedy-always yes! But they were a fractured bunch with a lot of internal division and turf wars before.

They're actually very similar in terms of PPG over their careers, but Krejci has been slightly more productive over the last few years in terms of total points.

Bergeron is better defensively, but when Krejci has missed games they seem to be more out of sorts.

After reading the article that lists the NHL's top centers in the league and listing Giroux at ninth, I wanna know if you guys agree or disagree and what your expectations of Giroux are for the upcoming season? I'm hoping for a 30 plus season for Giroux, with 60 plus helpers.

The article doesn't mean much but to have Tavares ahead of Giroux to me is criminal with all that Giroux has accomplished so far. He's finished the last two of three seasons top three in points in the league, a former hart trophy nominee, an elite passer, solid faceoff man, a two way center, a dynamic playoff performer as his numbers would suggest and his team is likely not to make the playoffs without him.

Now I suppose I wanna ask if Bergeron is truly better then Giroux by simply having a better defensive game, easily one of the best faceoff men in the league and having more winning success with two gold medals, two Selke's and a Cup. I'm not even sure if Bergeron is the number one center on his own team.

So break it down for me and keep in mind that just because Giroux passes the puck, it doesn't mean whomever he passes the puck to is guaranteed to put the puck into the net.

I don't put stock into stuff like that. If somebody wants to rate Bergeron or Tavares over Giroux, more power to them. It's enough for me to know he's one of the best players in the game and a guy who can literally carry his team on his back to the playoffs.

Well What's amazing to me is the best centers in the league will be listed as...

1. Crosby
2. Toews
3. Kopitar
4. Malkin
5. Stamkos
6. Bergeron
7. Tavares
8. Getzlaf
9. Giroux
10. Datsyuk

But a fantasy listing on the very same site looks like...

1. Crosby
2. Stamkos
3. Malkin
4. Tavares
5. Getzlaf
6. Giroux
7. Toews
8. Kopitar
9. Seguin
10. Couture (Even now it's crazy to me to choose Couture over Thornton)

Fantasy hockey =/= real life hockey. Look at Bergeron.

EDIT: And Toews for that matter. The only thing fantasy looks at is goals, assists, and +/-

For those who care about uniform numbers, the Flyers website now lists Ryan White as number 25.
